Black 99 Vette

My client just picked this one up. It's a 99, with only 48K miles. It appeared to have never been polished. It was in pretty good shape, but had what appeared to be a lot of wash induced marring, as well as swirling.

I compounded it with M105 and an Orange LC pad at 1000. Most panels got 2 or 3 rounds of this. I followed with the Flex, an Orange LC pad and SIP. I finished out with the Flex, a White LC pad, and Menzerna P203S. I waxed it with Dodo Supernatural.

The wheels got Aquawax, and the tires were dressed with Meguiar's Waterbased Dressing, diluted 1:1.

The interior was vacuumed, wiped down with QID, and the seats got 1Z Leathercare.

I only took afters. Some of these pictures are before I dressed the tires...

Thanks everyone.

Legacy - the tires are not dressed in that last picture.

Stiffdogg - you figured me out. That dog is my secret weapon. I keep her in my tool bag with the Makita and Flex, and pull her out when I get to a job.

Nice work seemed like a aggressive combo. On a off topic note my friend just got a hot-dog dog and they are pretty cool.

Corvette clears are HARD - if you haven't worked on one, you'll be shocked when you do. I tried Purple Foamed Wool and SIP, but it wasn't making a dent. I tried a stronger wool and was getting some buffer marks. I then used the Orange LC pad, and it cut out the defects, didn't leave buffer marks, but left a slightly hazy finish. I then used the SIP and Orange LC to remove the haze, and finished with P203S with a white LC to get more gloss.
