Black 94' Big Turbo Supra

Just got back from GA and along with a 600hp HTA 37R powered Evo and a R33 GT-R (pics of the Evo coming soon) I had the pleasure of detailing my friends 94' big turbo Supra. From the pics you can see it was covered in swirls, but I think I managed to really bring the car back. Heres the process:

Wash

Clay w/ Adams clay bar

swirls removed via rotary w/ CCS orange pad and Menz. SIP

Polish via rotary w/ CCS white pad and Menz 106FF

Glazed via UDM at speed 3 w/ blue CCS pad and CG's EZ Creme Glaze (love the smell of this stuff! Thanks for the sample FJF!)

Sealed via UDM at speed 2 w/ black CCS pad and 4* UPP (thanks again for the sample FJF! Love this stuff!)

Waxed by hand and foam applicator with Adams Buttery wax (despite what some people have said about Adams products I really like the wax).

Also polished all underhood metals and the lip on the wheels

These pics were taken by the owner on pick up and I have more that I took and will update later, but comments are welcome!{thumbup}

Looks good!! I want to see an "after" pic of the badge!! I would have debadged that whole thing before I ever turned my buffer on!!:nervous2:

does the sealent goes ok over that glaze??

amazing result:kewlpics:bigups, i guees it had been never polished before in 14 years O_o, what did your friend say?

Car looks great, but you might want to tape up the trim around the splash guards and under/around the bumpers/fenders so they don't get polish stains like that ;)

yes it is acrylic based to be use with sealants

there are several acrylic based glazes that will work with most/all sealants

search "DWG" for more info

I know I need to pick up some painters tape, so I can tape up areas like that. I'm still learning all the processes and such as I've only been machine detailing since December.

The owner was actually looking at getting it repainted, but he decided to hold off after he saw the correction that was done. There were some deeper scratches that didn't come out and could have used some wet sanding, but since it's a single stage paint I was weary about doing it and informed him that they may still be there.

Looks great.. not a big fan of those hoods and rims, but otherwise a beatiful car..

My supra looks a bit better than the before pictures, but hopefully with the flex and my amature skills I can get it to look as good as your afters. is it stock paint or has it been repainted, alot of people have said I should use megs products since they are better than Menzerna on single stage paint, but what the hell do I know.. I guess I will just have to do a test section on the hood and see how it comes out. :P

My car is black also, so maybe not the best paint to first test my flex on,

Great job there :P

Your Flex will be fine and regardless of the color or if it's clear coated or not Menz. has always been great for me and I still recommend it over Megs, but I do hear great things about Megs M105. Also don't be afraid of black paint. I actually enjoy black out of all the colors as it really lets you see weather your doing any correction or not.

Can you ask the guy with the supra as to where he found those Toyota Devil badges.. I have been looking all over for them. Found som on ebay, but they were for big *** Tacomas.

wow you did a great job, my swirl marks werent that bad and that supra still turned out better in the end. I need to practice more. Sweet *** supra too BTW

Thanks again all! This was my first time using the rotary for a full detail. I used it once to remove hard water from a 335i.
