Black '86 FIERO

Oh noes, teh Fiero! Heh, tried Megs #83 for the first time on a whole car, kinda disappointed that it didn't have as much bite as I thought it would (SSR2.5 feels more aggressive to me), but I got most of this car looking good. The after pics, seemed like they amplified whatever marring was left, but it looked better in person, but I'll just post the shots now and shut up. :)

Wash

Clay

Megs #83 on a LC orange pad

Megs #9 on a LC white pad

Topped with S100

Wells were degreased, cleaned and dressed with Simoniz foam (I got about 10 cans on sale for 2 bucks each  )

Tires dressed w/ E1

Two before wash pics

Nice detail on black. First time I've ever seen that car.

Thats cause all the others burned up ;)

Nice detail. Glad to see some people are still sporting these. My Mechanic just got a GT Fiero (V6) in the shop to replace the head gaskets. :)

Man, it was my 1st car I owned, when I was 17 years old back in 1988 :) I think it has 2.5L w/3 speed Automatic tranny :(.. Anyways..

Nice job well done.

my old roommate had one... said it was the funnest car he'd ever owned.

Nice work on bringing the paint back. Just keep at it & you'll find the right combination of products to get the results you want.

Headlights stuck in the up position? Never seen that happen before. I have been thinking lately how the Solstice will be this decade's Fiero.

Definitely looks better. :)

GM really messed up with that car, it could have been so much better. Just not enough power.

They couldn't put more power in it without interfering with the C4 Corvette. You know how GM is, nothing can outclass the top dog. I'm surprised they let the Grand National fly for as long as they did since it was faster (maybe because the GN couldn't turn.)

Ah the Fiero! A blast from the past. My buddy had one that we pulverized into the ground. It could of been a sweet "little" car. But talk about a reject in every regard.

Nice cleanup!

Thanks guys. Its an 86 SE, so at least it wasnt a 2m4, but a 2m6. Only engine mods I think done to it are a port + polish, and the cats removed. Sounded pretty nice.

they make a ferrari kit too! haha i remember i saw one on the streets, i gun it to catch him in my z....i revved my v6...and then he revved this little motor...and im like huh....hahah then i look at the rims and its a fiero hahah.

i like the little bodys u can put on it though.

Nice job on your '86. A friend had an original '84 2M4 and never had any difficulties with it, he must have been lucky. They just got it right with the '88's and then cancelled them. I still remember reading in Car & Driver about some test mules GM had that were running hot V6's and V8's shoehorned in and like Tailwind said they would smoke the C4 Corvette. Let's hope GM has learned from the past.
