OK, so here are the pics of the 2003 Porsche C4S. Unfortunately, by the time i got done, the sun had already gone away. I should have taken pics before applying the Victoria Wax but it was raining for a few minutes and I was doing the detail in the garage.

Products used:

CG Citrus Gloss Wash

Mothers Clay

UDM with Orange LC Pad and SIP

UDM with White LC Pad and 106FF

Black Wow on trims

Prima Nero on Tires

Opti Seal on Wheels

EZ Creme Glaze

Jet Seal

Victoria Concours Wax applied by hand just coz it's fun.

Here are the before photos. Lots of swirls and holograms. Blame RUF!!! They "detailed" the car after the wing got installed. The car then got shipped from Texas to Colorado.

To me it looks great, although I cannot compare it to Souveran as I have not used it. The lack of sun also takes a bit away from the photos.

I will be back at his house to do an FX45 and a Pathfinder this weekend. I can take more pics of the Porsche then.

beautiful porsche. those before shots look like the car took a real beating. man i just love the end results on black cars.

From another black Porsche owner... GREAT JOB!!:goodjob

How well do you like the new UDM polisher?

Today's Porsche paint is very soft.

Yeah man, nothing like the results on a black car. However, it is a pain to get there!!!

Here is what I think:

Pros:

Less noise

Less vibration

More power

Cons:

Switch is too flimsy. It turns on by just touching it -- I caught myself spreading polish or LSP all over myself and the car about 4 times.

Cable is too short -- the plug hangs in the air when I put the cable behind my back.

It feels cheap -- I don't know how to explain this but it just does not fill sturdy. Maybe a bit hollow?

As far as corrections and ease of use it gets a big thumbs up. I like!

Thank GOD for less vibration!!! One reason I HATE the PC and always use my Makita rotary, but there are some finishes that are soft which work well with a PC. Porsche paint lately seems very very soft. Great in correcting, but boy you have to be careful around known areas that do not get full coverage.

Porsche black looks so nice and like it more that M Benz black. Maybe the lines on the car!:lol Still, once done right, it can look like a rolling mirror.

I've been so damn busy, I've yet to work on my C2S to correct some marring (like I said, soft), and I really need to get it done. I'll use the P085RD first to see how much I'll correct, then step to 106FF if needed, but man, does P085RD make the black PERFECT!!

I'm sure the owner of the C4S is VERY happy! I'd advise on getting paint film. These cars are low and rocks really hit it. Also, advise screens on the front bumper area where the radiators are. Reason, a few owners have had rocks damage A/C condensor coils which will NOT be covered under warranty if damaged. Myself, I REALLY NEED the screens since I have the Aerokit nose. Openings are twice as big!!

Once again, that's one nice job!!!:2thumbs:

High dollar mod shops and not a clue about finding a real detailer. Good thing the owner had you to make it right.

Amen to that. When I inspected the car before working on it it was night and the car looked flawless. Not so much in the sun!

The other bad thing about the UDM is that the speed wheel is not next to the power switch, a MAJOR design flaw going back to the days of the PC. W T F was porter cable thinking when they did this??????

Very true but the UDM was modelled exactly after the PC so it was expected. I would much rather have it easily accessible. My Metabo is the same way the speed wheel is right at the bottom of the machine by the cable. It's kind of annoying but I'm used to it now.

that was really nice of them to destroy his carrera. what a joke that is.

wonderful job fixing it. huge props on that slick black paint.
