Bit of a surprise (Work)

Sadly had to work yesterday to get today off. Off Tuesday off course. 10.5 hour shift. That was rough! Had 10 years with the Co. the 21st. We all get annual % raises in July. They are not much. I was informed yesterday that we all got 5% Cost of living increases starting next pay in Jan. Though I was going to faint. NEVER in my time there did this ever happen. So this combined with the increase in July. Not a bad start to the new year.

Congrats PA!

Part of my job offer and compensation package at my new place of employment was 5% geographical difference since the building was in the Potomac district and so close to Washington DC. I just took that difference and put it in my 401K and pension plans.

I worked on Monday and was treated to basically the opposite news. My peer had it worse, he will NOT be named manager this year
