I see Home Depot has a sale on the Bissell 1200 SpotBot Handsfree Compact Deep Cleaner till the end of the month. $94.50.

What was the verdict on these? Are they any good? Winter is coming and I'm looking for a better way to clean the carpet from the road salt and slush.

TIA

I see they are also have the Bissell ProHeat Upright Deep Cleaner on sale as well. It has attachement for upolstery and tight area on carpets. I could have the best of both world's clean carpets in the Audi and and the house. :)

the price for the spotbot is normal price for 95 ive seen that at either walmart or target, i think HD reg price is manufacturer price plus that way to high...i would say most have the second unit you link too the Proheat and nonheat version....on your second link to the proheat it doesnt link to the proheat what was the price @ HD, i believe i saw the proheat at target guessing around 80(proheat) and 70 NonHeat, plus they had the spot but i didnt even look at it...make sure you use the search feature and read all the reviews and make your decision again i dont mine purchasing one (proheat)but im debating to wait and save money at a future time and purchase a durramaid extractor....

My bad on the links, I forgot HD uses "cookies".

The first Bissell ProHeat® Upright Deep Cleaner (Model 79011) I saw was $122.50 and there is another ProHeat 2X™ Select Upright Deep Cleaner (Model 9400) for $178.00

That second one pulls 12 amps and has two heat sources one regular and one for the attachment hose.

Thanks for the heads up on the pricing with the SpotBot, if that's the normal price every where else I won't be sweating making a decision in a couple of weeks.
