Bird bomb from hell

So today, I park my car at school in my usual spot. In the morning the car was absolutely fine. So at 3:15 I leave school and come home to get a bite to eat before work. When I leave my house, I see this weird looking brownish substance that I assume is a bird bomb, about an inch long on the drivers side door below the handle. I run to my garage and whip out the QD and an MF, which, to my surprise, does nothing. I see that a corner of the substance is peeling off the paint slightly, so I grab that corner and slowly peel it off completely. Underneath is an extremely dull black finish. If I try carefully, I can feel the depression with my fingernail. :help:

I assume the only remedy is a repaint, which is out of the question. I would post pics, but I'm at work right now. Will post today or tomorrow if its too dark when i get home.

Thats the worst part... my front end was painted in July so I haven't applied a wax since then. I was planning to do the rest of the car (besides front) in two weeks because the car will be photographed then and I wanted that shine that you only get with freshly-applied wax. And honestly, I've been way to busy to detail my car since school started. However my weekends are starting to free up.

In any case, there was no LSP unless you consider 3-month old Megs 26.

3 month old megs #26 i would consider well waxed.....

Doesnt even matter at this point anyways, the concern right now is diagnoseing it and figuring out how to get rid of it without repainting.
