I'm looking for a product to replace Rain-X wheel protectant and I figured their spritz would be the product.

Anyone thinking of using blackfire as a Klasse refresher (the QD) instead of a a Klasse replacement

I figured I stick to my system for awhile and maybe get the spritz and use it on my wheels after clean every week

I'm curious as to who is going to try it out and why? Did you run out of the stuff you usually use and just waited for Blackfire to come out.

or are you just adding more products to your stash.

or are you trying it in hopes that it's easier and better than your current stuff.

I'm going to wait and see what others have to say about it first (along with the ZFX reviews). If the reviews are irresistible, then I'll have to try their entire set of products.

I am going to use it in any way I can. My plans for the spring are to do a Dawn wash on my car and clay the sucker. Then lay on the Blackfire and see how it compares to what I did with the Klasse this year. I am hoping it is better than Klasse because I like the idea of it. I am still going to keep supplied with Klasse though. ...just in case.

I may try blackfire. I am either gonna go back to Klasse or Blackfire from Zaino. The zaino seems to attract more dust than the klasse I used previously. The zaino looks fine it just seems to get dirtier faster and be a little more suceptible to swirls . The cost is a bit prohibitive too. The QD is expensive for the small amount you get. When I can get a gallon of #34 or OGSO for 21 dollars its hard to pass up. The SG really goes a long way too. Anyone hear any dates on when blackfire is going to be released?

But I want to know more about it first.....how it works, how it is used, what its limitations are, etc, etc. Hopefully there will be more information on it released than with KLASSE. I don't like trying something just because its something new...I need to be convinced!

will be released within the next 9 to 10 days. I am very anxious to hear what people have to say about it. :bounce

Even though there may be some drawbacks to Zaino, it works and works very well. The drawbacks being having to wait to get product from New Jersey via sending in a money order or check. However that will be changing soon as I hear that the Zaino site will become an E-commerce friendly site. :)

As for cost and amount: a little goes a long way with Zaino!

I will probably try BlackFire next spring. If BlackFire is good, I will probably use that and Klasse and drop Zaino from my product stash. I like Zaino, but it gets expensive since he only sells Z2 in 8oz bottles. Even using thin coats, you can still go through a 8oz bottle pretty quick. Sal should start selling Z2 and Z3 in 16oz bottles, that way people don't have to go through the hassle of reordering all the time.

next Spring.

I will wait and see how well the ZFX and BF perform, then I'll come to a decision to try one out, unless someone wants to send me some :)

Well its worth a shot,

Jason

Okay, I think I will try it! I just got back in the States a couple days ago after a year in Korea, I'll be getting my car out of storage over Thanksgiving, it's in a barn in Kentucky. Seeing as I now live in Southern Georgia I don't think detailing in December will be any problem! :D

The car was re-painted bright red about 2 years ago. If they are looking for someone else to test the product and give a review I'll take some free samples!! Hello...........Hello..............

Good to be back in the USA!!

Snake,

Thanks...it is good to be home! My car is about 45 miles southwest of Lexington. I used to live on Maxwell back in my UK days! Worked at Clara's and ate at Joe Bologna's!!!

I still know a few Alfa owners there, we will be moving back to KY in about 2 years.

My plan of attack on the car will be a dawn wash, clay it, then either Blackfire or Klasse........I still have a couple weeks so if anyone can give me any reason for one product over the other go ahead! The car will live outside and be driven daily.

hey mark,
aahhh, joe b's, good stuff. as kids we use to walk down to their old southland dr restaurant and get their breadsticks.

i don't know anything about blackfire other than what i've read here but i'd be happy give you my thoughts on klasse. feel free to e-mail me if you want tacscar1@home.com

Dont wory snake, if i end up liking Blackfire more than klasse, ill make sure to buy other things from your awesome stroe.

hey brad, that's okay, im just as excited as everyone else about another great product coming out. the more cool detailing stuff the better... i'll be the first in line to try blackfire myself.

The reason i want to use it is that it seems to and promises to improve upon many of my main complaints with klasse. Not a very wet shine, having to top with a wax which can complicate things, and non-instant cure times, easy app. and removal. The look seems to be more like zaino than klasse, which is good because i think zaino can look pretty good, better than klasse but not quite as good as klasse/blitz. Seems to look like a wetter zaino. I cant wait to test it out, an i will post results ASAP.

In the Blackfire ads I've read so far they state the polish will "fill in" the swirl marks. Is that just the way it's being advertised or will it fill in swirls like a glaze rather than remove like FI2 & SMR do? Am I reading more into it than is there or has anyone else seen it that way? I'll be trying it in any case once it's availabe and after it's been field tested and results get posted but I'm curious about the fill vs. removal point.
