Since the owner liked the outcome, here is what I will be doing for him....

Bi-Weekly Washes: (work trucks)
Ford Cargo Vans (2)
Chevy Silverado (standard cab)
Ford Ranger
Ford F-150 (standard cab)

Weekly Washes:
(personal vehicles)
Chevy 2500 (above truck)
Suburban
Envoy
Expedition (new)
Avalanche
Pontiac Solstice (new, 500 miles, won in a raffle) (must be nice)

And I think 1 or 2 more........

Detailing some of the personal vehicles as well... :rockon

Hey Tex,

Congratulations, that repeat business is what it's all about. Being able to get an idea of what you're bringing home each week is a real blessing. I know you're still not paying much attention to what I think but I thought I would congratulate you anyway. ;)

Very nice work on the detail and congrats on the extra business. I'm curious on one thing though. How many days do you think are in a week? You seem to be picking up a ton of business lately and I'm a bit intrigued at how you're going to get it all done.

that truck is nice, good job, i like the black grill bumper and trim (more stealthy than the cheap looking chrome)

23 days in a week right? RIGHT!?!?!
I have appointments out til July 14th right now. (going on vacation June 30th -July 6ish) Camping and fishing in Missouri with my Dad.....

couldn't do it without my helper. I have Thursdays Booked for a fleet wash, now every other Sat. (half day for fleet wash) Getting ready to get a set day on the personal vehicles from this guy, and I do a fleet wash for a local real estate company.... And looking at getting another real estate company with 7 vehicles......

I like pain...... wait, or was it money?

Great job on that monster !!! I initially would not do weekly washes, but I now have 4 steady weekly customers (3+ cars each), and the results are their car look incredible all the time, and have become pretty easy to maintain. One of the customers has 3 high end cars all in black !!!

How do you do on time with these fleet vehicles?
Do you use treated water?
How about dressings (aerosol/water based) ?

I truly admire your work, and hope to trade detailing techniques with you in the future !!!

All the best !!!

Dean "Clean Dean" Laumbach

Dean,
Thank you for your kind words. I too, admire the work you do and it's always a pleasure to see your work!

On the fleet washes, I do a wash and vac. Times run anywhere from 30 minutes up to an hour on a vehicle, depending on how bad it is of course.

The wash consists of:
Interior Vac, wipe down, and glass
Exterior wash, glass, clean rims/tires and dress.
Sometimes I dress the wells if time permits, as well as the trim.

Now that I have hired help, it seems to go by pretty easily. While he is wiping down the interior, I am doing the interior glass. Then he starts to vac, while I am doing the wheels on the opposite side of the vehicle, then we switch sides. I am done doing wheels and tires when he gets done with the vac.

We usually wash the vehicle together, either one on each side or the same....just depends on how hot it is...lol

I do not use treated water, though it is on the TOP of my list.....if I can find a decent DI tank renter. It would make fleet washes SO much easier and faster!

Again, thanks Dean!

You call that a big truck? We've got an 06 in the driveway that's exactly like that and I wash it every 1-2 weeks :notme:
And we've got an '00 that's exactly the same except a long bed :crazy2:

Nice work as usual, and I too have been pondering HOW in the HELL you get all that work done. I've been working waaaay too many weekends (IMO) and I don't like working weekends, I like having my weekends to do what I want to do, I get maybe 1 day every week or two where I've got 2 cars to knock out and that's about a killer for me, I'll be working from 8-6+ to get it all done. I guess I just need to learn to say "no"... I don't need the work, but it's nice to have, and the extra cash is for sure a bonus.

Congrats on picking up all the new work too. I've got tons of clients I've done work for who want weekly/bi-weekly washes set up or even fleet washing, but the bastages never call back. I guess I need to get on their arses and get the work!
