Bf3 vs cdmw3 ???

As a big gaming nut and a veteran Call Of Duty armchair general I have always had a bias towards my COD games, from the first one to the last.......yet with every COD installment after United Offensive the gameplay just went down hill, IMO.

I avoided the previous Battlefield games but broke down and bought Bad Company 2. I hated this game at first....got my butt handed to me on a grenade filled platter! Now though I love it. I leveled up to 50 quickly and have all guns at Platinum except my shotties....can kill anything with them! It has destructible environments, mass multiplayer maps, up to 32 players and I love the objective gameplay, team work is vital to success.

I have pre-ordered BF3, was invited to play the beta's and such but I am also considering CDMW3....my gaming clan though has pretty much written off the COD series which I am in agreement with but there's always this hope that it gets better.

The problem with the COD series? It's all the same frigging game! There's nothing new really.

I also have the new game RAGE coming in which I believe is a better more involved step up from Borderlands, which in itself is a fine game.

So who's a gamer and who's playing what???

I'll be playing both, but from what I understand, the new BF game was engineered around the computer user, so I'll be curious to see how it translates to Xbox.

Im usually playing racing games like GT5. I just got done building my custom racing chair for the g27 steering wheel. I dont play the shooting games as much but i do enjoy the fallout games and COD once in awhile.

Yes, games are created within a PC environment and lately ported to a console platform then those console platforms ported back to PC. So in Modern Warfare 2 and also Bad Company 2 we have limited PC gaming options, for instance there is little to no mouse options in MW2 because it was ported for a gaming pad instead of keyboard and mouse.

Battlefield 3 has gone back to support for the PC user as it's intended first for the PC then ported to console.

I have my own Bad Company 2 server and also a server for BF3 which I am looking forward to as there is rumor that DICE "may" release server end files which will allow me to custom opt out my server. It will also allow the modding community to create mods and new maps....which will not be an easy task given the complex engine BF3 is running on. That's why it's only a "rumor".

The COD franchise wants money from the people who spend $60 on their game for new map packs and such and to me that stinks. I already paid for the game now I have to pay more to play it? Not!
