Between SG Layers...

How do you guy's keep your paint prepped in between SG layers since you need a 24 HR curing time? Do you keep your car in the garage for 5 days straight? Wash before your next layer? Just CCD and QD? Assuming you don't skip days in between layers....



It'd be great to have ZFX for Klasse...
 
I just wash the car between layers. That's the eaisest thing to do for me. If you do the car on Saturday night and you don't go anywhere on Sunday then you could probably get away with using a non carnuba QD instead of washing it. Either way is fine.
 
Dust it with a calif car duster, then MF wipe with a little non-wax detail spray - unless you've been driving through mud puddles there is no need to wash it.

Hi Carguy, nice to see you posting again. :)



I just QD'd between my layers before I had a CCD. I still do this sometimes even now when waxing. Make sure you're really thorough with the QD and don't miss any areas though.
 
I actually do keep the car in the garage for that long and add a layer when I get home from work or so.



But you can spread it out just on the weekends and wash beforehand.
 
I usually have my coats spread a week apart.



I've done a few the day after. I usually just go over it with a quick detailer before the next coat. Doesn't really collect any dirt over night. Really just a light dust that is easily QD'ed off.
