I am about to start a large advertising campaign. It consists of multiple post card mailings to what I believe is my target market.

I am offering a $45 voucher to any new client that had his/her vehicle detailed. It is good toward a second car or the same car for follow up service.

Is this clear enough??

“Present this card at time of detailing service and get a $45 voucher toward auto detailing service for a second vehicle

How about something like this:

“Present this card at time of detailing service and recieve a $45 voucher toward any auto detailing service on your next appointment."

I'd just say 15% off detail service for new and repeat customers.

So wouldnt everyone be recieving your discount then? You better hope prices are high enough so your not getting screwed giving everyone that discount.

With his current offer he is roping the customer in to schedule another detail/service...The 15% off could work in the same manner if given to repeat customers, however giving a percentage off could be bad if your working with a $500 detail where you could have given $45 off compared to the $75 for 15% off

--Edit: The 15% off would work in the same manner as the 45 off when it comes to who you are giving it too...I thought he was handing these discounts out to customers when they come into a detail, but he is mailing so there will be many newbies scheduling a detail..Sorry grouse my confusion

you have to take into account i am from the carpet industry. The base number discount, 20 off, 40 off. is restrictive. People know a percentage off means more off when combined with more work. Yeah you'll give more but you also sell more services per job.

I totally see what yoru saying Joshua312, it's been my exp though that percentage off is far more rewarding than flat number.

on that note, you need to besure your not selling your services short, we never double stacked %'s It was 15%. If yoru operating on a 15% over cost margine, your' probably more worried about wether to have soy sauce or ketchup on your rice tonite.

Looks good to me!!! The whole idea of advertising is to make them call you. $45 off the 2dn vehicle is a good idea.
