Best way to remove dried on wax from plastic parts

I just bought a new car a month ago and it's been bothering me to see when the dealership waxed the car, they got some on the rub strips and antenna base.

What is the best way to remove this stuff?

How about plastic dressing?

If it's wax it will dissolve with mineral oil on a q-tip. Clean off with an apc and follow with a trim dressing.

If this doesn't work try some isopropyl alcohol (90%) with a q-tip.

okay i'm apparently going to have to try this peanut butter thing. i keep see it pop up all over the place. i have my doubts. there must be some truth in it or i wouldn't keep seeing it.

I have had good luck with peanut butter

but there are a few tricks to it

first you must use natural PB(the kind that seperates)

because the regular PB most of the peanut oil is extracted and replaced with veg oil

next spread it on and let it dwell for 15-20 min.

then scrub with a brush(toothbrush works well)

then scrub with terry cloth

last wash as normal to remove residue

You know the problem... You want to make your car look better and protect the finish by waxing your car, and you should. The only problem is that when you wax your car, you also get wax embedded into the texture of your bumper. You do your best to protect your car and make it look great and one little slip with your wax applicator can make it look worse.
