Ultimately the best shine (for any color) is going to come from having polished (level) paint.
That said there are some waxes and paint sealants whose characteristics seem to bring out the best in dark finishes.
Pinnacle Souveran is famous for the liquid wet shine it produces and it looks particularly stunning on black.
The BLACKFIRE Wet Ice Over Fire (combination of sealant and wax) creates a rich 3 dimensional shine that really stands out on dark colors.
Dodo Juice's dark color range, Blue Velvet and Purple Haze, both look exceptional on dark paints, as does Dodo Juice Super Natural.
If you are are looking for a more cost effective approach it is really hard to beat Poor Boy's Natty's Blue Carnauba Paste.
Those are
all excellent suggestions. Preparation of the paint is the key!
Now with that said...almost every LSP I have ever tried has a different "look".
A good question is: What are you looking for in a Last Step Product (LSP)?
Depth, warmth, longevity, durability, bright shine, hydrophobic properties etc.
* Most natural waxes do not last as long as sealants.
* Most sealants have a brighter shine than natural wax.
What is more important to you. Ease of use or durability?
In the end, it is the "look" that you like that matters.
How often do you want to "wax" your black vehicle?
Every couple of weeks or every couple of months.
For me, I like the BLACKFIRE Wet Ice Over Fire combo.
For others, Collinite 845 is a good winter wax that lasts.
Again IMHO - "Best waxes for super black" is user subjective.
Todd is good peeps and has made some excellent suggestions.
