Best wax for Pearlescent White?

Just bought a pre-owned Lexus LS 400 with Pearlescent White and was looking forward to getting some recommendations for the best wax.

FYI, I clayed, then 3M Finesse It II, followed by Klasse AIO. Car looks good, but not great. Will additional layers of Klasse SG help as much as it did on my black BMW?

What is the trick to add depth to the paint?

PS-Boy am I glad to rid of my black BMW. I really respect anyone who has a black car and keeps it clean!

Chris, love your taste (me: 95 LS400 Moonstone grey, 01 Odyssey).

You say add'l layers, but do not mention having started after the AIO. Yes, go with several layers min 3. I use Klasse on my Lexus, love it. I do have Zaino inbound for it though. Just had to try it. Have Klassed the Odyssey, white, looks great.

After about 10 layers of SG I broke down and put Blitz on top. I would get a bunch of SG down then decide how it looks. Many say the carnuba gives the depth to Klasse.

How many miles on the LS, if you don't mind me asking?

if it doesn't look great after what you did, I wonder if you worked the FI-II long enough - it will definitely haze if you don't. Otherwise I would expect it to look excellent right now. A carnauba topper will add some perception of depth - but if it isn't already looking darn good I'd inspect very carefully under an assortment of lights at an assortment of viewing angles and see if you can detect any hazing. If so, sacrifice the AIO/SG for now and get the surface right - another application of FI-II but work the bejezus out of it, or, if you have it, you can probably fix it up with 3M SMR. You need to work the bejezus out of that too. Then reapply your AIO, and start building some SG layers.

I agree with carguy... Was the surface glossy after the FI-II or was the finish slightly dull and have some hollogramming. It is hard to see haze on white cars, so I think this is what is lacking in your shine. When I put 3M SMR on my black ML I almost **** my pants because of all the hazing. Luckily I worked in AIO very well and removed about 97% of it. After applying AIO the car looked great but looks even better with SG.

Klasse AIO X 1, Klasse SG X 3, and Pinnacle Souveran (I know you'll all say to try Paste Glaz) X until you get tried of waxing ! It looks great on my white car.

I really like the look of Klasse on white. No matter what you use first, I would say to use Pinnacle Paste Glaz as your carnuba. That would make that Lexus white just glow! I did a car that was painted in a similar color and used the PPG on it. That car looked absolutly stunning! Very worth the 30 bucks or so for the wax. :xyxthumbs :bow --->PPG

P21S or Souveran? here is my white car with Klasse

Thanks for the info everyone. The paint is clean, I believe, it is just that some pearl white's seem to have the specks float. I'll layer some Klasse SG this weekend and see if that does it then top with Blitz.

Likecars, I bought the car (an off lease) with only 31,000 miles. Have you had any trouble with yours?

C240, theres really nothing to debate. If money is no concern then get the Souveran. No one has ever really stated that P21 gives you a finish as nice as Souveran's. It is a good wax though, but its no Souveran. Laters

i'm with C240. just did my parents white cherokee...

AIO, SG, SG ,SG (perhaps a few more SG's)

and then P21S wax.

souveran is great, but just too expensive for me.

my 2 cents.
