Best vacuum for detailing

I am looking for a good vacuum to dedicate to detailing my vehicles. I currently have a dyson for my house and the suction is decent. I want something that will hold up and has some juice to it. I saw the griot's one but didn't know it's quality. Looking for advice please.

any shop vac with at least 5.5 HP to it is more than enough for any Detail job I've ever come across. I've had Craftsman, Rigid, Shop vac etc etc.. They all last about the same to me and all do a great job. I honestly don't think any brand has any distinct advantage over another when it comes to shop vacs. just look for decent HP and any other options you might like and you should be happy with your purchase.

do a search for " wd4050 " (there's a newer model now with casters attached) and you'll find plenty of info...

about how long do this last? just curious as i just bought a shop vac.TIA

All of these Vacs should last a long, long time. I have a shop vac that's over 20 years old. Still going strong.

If I remember correctly my new Rigid Vac has a life-time warranty. I believe

( could be wrong) that Shop-Vac machines sold by Lowe's are covered by a three or four year warranty.

Big Lots has a 5.5 peak hp wet dry vac / blower for $55. I was told that any vac that has over 5 to 6 hp is still only using the available watts on a 110 house socket. So no matter the peak hp, the vac is only going to use the watts and amps from a 110 standard house supply line! Got this from a certified electrian then saw a post on here or AG stating the same!

I plan on getting the wap attix 8 with detailers kit but not everyone cares about having the best so a regular shop vac will do.
