im STILL searching for the best oil based tire dressings.......i apply it with a sponge as so the dressing doesnt fly off......im tired of it not lasting on the customers vehicals please post what all u use for your tires to dress them thanx and also where i can order it in gallon or larger form

I like Poorboys BNB as my go to tire dressing. its not oily and does not sling. you can get a matte or gloss finish for the tire depending on how you put it on. Its seems to hold up pretty well in the elements. I also have used One Grands ERV dressing and I like that alot. its similar to BNB in a lot of ways. Both work well for my tire dressings. Not sure if either one of these tire dressings are oil based. they do not feel oily but that does not mean there not oil based.

I use the Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss as my go to tyre dressing. I find it gives a really nice wet shine, which does actually last a decent time. OK so it doesn't stay "dripping wet" for weeks, but I find I can usually go a month on client's cars without the need to redress as it keeps the tyres nice and black, rather than letting them turn brown.

Also, I get minimal sling even when I cake it on pretty thick. If you take the excess off it won't sling at all.

Too much thread about this. There's no best of anything...Use your own perference that's all. I use abunch of variety..I still like Meg #38 TNT(gel type, I think it's H2O base), PB BnB and Meg HD. Thats are my 3 GoTo dressing :)

I'm a big fan of the CG's liquid extreme shine for an oil-based dressing. It's only 25 bucks a gallon, and a gallon of this stuff goes a *long* way. I'm only halfway through it, and I've been using it for half the summer on all the trim and about 50% of the tires ive done.

well i get about 10-18 cars out of a quart bottle there for about 40-75 cars a gallon and i use about a gallon every two months....i dont care about cost. can yall tell me ruff times of how long they last also? and to KLNYC i know theres never been and never going to be a best of all product but im just askin for peeps opinions thanx. and last thing can yall also put down some websites of where i could order these items......i just relocated my business 3 states away and ive been using the same stuff for ever and i guess this is the best time to upgrade to better products seeing i gotta now pay for shippin as before i didnt have to. again thanx a million guys

I am enjoying the new DP tire gel. Like any other gel, it lasts quite a while.

Believe it or not, i have had pretty good luck with the DuPont Teflon stuff. Lasts through 1 rain, after 2 the tires are still black, but not quite looking "dressed" anymore.

I suppose I should leave this one alone, but then :chuckle:

I use Polyglaze Tyre Black which appears to be only available in the Asia Pacific region. It is a water based paint which dries completely with a gloss that lasts for months. I have posted on this a few times.

after applying this product it looks greasy as hell but u can touch it than snap your fingers no problem! and also dirt and dust dont really stick to it even after some time goes by.....by far the best W.B.D.

psl car wash, you went a long way off Autopia to get that thread :D

Take a look at this thread http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49760&highlight=tyre+black

I think one of the members did uncover a web site with it listed but not 100% sure and time is getting the better of me right now to search immediately.

I took a couple of cans over to Sullybob earlier this year when I was visiting the US. He reckons it is ok but his application on his high profile SUV treads is probably not the best situation.

I am working out the best way to get a can or two to a 300C owner in Florida currently. Geeze this is costing me :)

I'm really surprised that nobody mentioned Stoner's More Shine Less Time for Tires.

I am completely in love with this product. No slinging, dries in only a few seconds and is reasonably priced. Although, It is an aerosol and I don't think it would be available in any size you're looking for...

I strongly second themightytimmah on this one. Chemcial Guy's Extreme Shine is now my go to tire dressing. The stuff is nearly bullet proof & long lasting. Another teriffic product from CG.
