Any good fairly quiet Shop vac's worth buying for under $100?

Craftsman ?

ShopVac ?

One better than another?

Thanks

I bought a 5.5 hp Ridgid from The Home Depot and its awesome. Plenty of power for general auto cleaning. I use it to vacuum my garage floors also.

I prefer the ShopVac or Craftsman lines as I find more accessories/various filters like HEPA, drywall, liners, etc. than I can find for Rigid.

I got a contractor series Shop Vac from Lowes. 16 gallons with 6 hp motor. I got it for under $90. Very powerful and fairly quiet. No tip design. You can also hook up hepa type filter to it. I have been very happy. The one draw back is it is rather large. Not an issue for me since it is used exclusively at home.

I have the 12 gallon, 5hp Craftmans model pictured above. Love the thing--allows you to use 1 1/4" and 2 1/2" hoses. Great suction and have used it extensively since I moved into my house--have not had one problem with it.

I need one that will fit in my trunk. That would probably mean <10 gallons.

Shopvac has a 3hp 6 gallon, I don't know if 3hp would be enough

They also have a 4hp 10 gallon. I also don't know if that would be enough, or fit in my trunk. Possibly. :)

Well I stopped into Home Depot tonight and found a bargain.

How big is it? :)

I have a craftsman 3 hp 6 gal (CORREY BIT SPANK) It does fine for general vacuming and "extracting" water from carpets, but of course, your always left wanting MORE POWER!!!(Honestly, when is there enought power) It does fine for your weekend warrior (like me), and it was only 40 bucks at sears (but then i had to get a dry bag and some attachments, so factor that in as well, they werent included with mine)

Actually, the last one looks awesome for a small package. 11amps? Sounds powerful.
