Right. Just start out gentle as some of them are soft/fragile. And some are actually very thin (adhesive-backed) plastic films that can't take much polishing...as in, two tries with something mild can cut through (gee, guess how I know ).
I like to protect those with something like heavily layered KSG; the look is secondary to me, compared with having them well-protected, especially the ones that can't be corrected very much.
