Best product for cleaning fabric/headliner?

Hey guys. I'm guilty of driving pretty often with the windows down in my truck. I've noticed the inside of the rear window gets really dirty, which is easy to clean, but I'm noticing the headliner back there is literaly turning black/dark grey, from its light grey original color. What's the best product to use on the headliner?

Headliners are pretty fragile, so you have to be really careful cleaning them. I've had good luck spraying carpet foam onto a towel and rubbing the area with that. Be gentle, and it may take a bit of time, but I've gotten dirt and spots out of headliners that way.

When I first got my Protege, I created a thread to document the work in progress. My headliner was disgusting, and I posted before/during/after pics of it and listed my process in the thread. Take a look.

Nice, the headliner looks much better after you cleaned it. What ratio/how much woolite did you use compared to water in your spray bottle? Is it just standard woolite, or what type? I don't happen to have any here at home so I want to make sure I get the right stuff..

I didn't use a spray bottle....I just had a bucket of water with a nickel-quarter sized drop of Woolite in there, and I'd dip the MF in there and wring it out almost all the way. Then gently wipe it on the headliner and wipe it again with a dry MF.

Yes, standard Woolite.

Woolite/water mix works great on headliners and other delicate fabrics in the interior. Just make sure the towel is only slightly damp when wiping the headliner and it should turn out very nice.
