Best polish/ wax combo?

I have very light swirls and scratches from regular washing. What would be the best polish and ax combo to get rid of them? Is there a 2 in one, to remove swirls and wax at the same time? Im thinking about picking up an UDM, so i dont want to spend much more money. Thanks

Never seen a wax and swirl remover in one before.

I use Presta Swirl Remover with good results. However I'm also working with a rotary and Presta is known for being best with wool pads on rotaries (Thanks for the info Ryan :).

I know a lot of people don't like 3M Swirl remover, but I've used that in the past with also great results and that was on a PC.

Im thinking about going with zaino or sonus. So if there is not "combo" what are the fewest steps i can use to get great gloss and no swirls etc.. I was thinking z1, z5, z2 pro? Thanks

there are several one-steps: meg's 66, Optimum Poli-seal, and my personal fav. Hi-Temp HT-69

Where can i get the Hi-Temp HT-69, and if i can use it with the UDM what pads should i use? Thanks

Top of the Line

yes should work well with a UDM

you will want a polishing pad

I dont think i need a heavy cut, i have very fine swirls. My car is only a year old. Do you think i would be fine still using the ht-69, or should i use something a little less abrasive? Thanks

you should be fine with Ht-69

it is low on the abrasive scale

here is the link for more info:

Meguiars #66 has got a mention already. I think its quite good i use it a lot as it comes in one gallon bottle.

#66 is also sold by meguiars in smaller bottles its called colorX.

colorX is a great all in one product that you can apply every 3 months to keep a flawless swirl free finish.

Thanks for the info. Never was aware of that. Haven't ran into those types of products, because most of the finishes I work on are hammered to hell where I am yellow wool cutting with mild compounds, intermediate with swirl remover and then finishing out with 3M 3000 SE for micro polishing.

Do autobody supply shops usually carry Hi-Temp? I might keep some in my chemical arsenal for vehicles that need very slight correction.
