Best place to buy Clearkote Quik Shine

I'm placing orders for my Spring detailing supplies and the only thing missing is QS. I can't seem to find it for less than about $54/gallon with shipping. I've never paid that much for it in the past. Speciality Motoring has it for 41.95 (not inc. Autopia discount), but shipping is a ridiculous $28.95!?! Even from Clearkote direct, it's gonna cost me almost $55 with shipping. Is there any cheaper place to get it from. I assume it's still in concentrate form, so it should weight next to nothing. Maybe I'll have to suck it up and pay, 'casue I love me some Quik Shine. I'm down to my last 1/2 quart and starting to panic a little. Any one know where to look?

I've already looked on Danase and ExcelDetail, but they are both out of stock. Patrick doesn't even list the gallon size, and Bob lists it, but I can't add to cart, so it must not be available. I hate the thought of paying over $50 for a gallon of QuikShine.

Thanks for the quick response, Bob! Now I can hopefully shift a a few other purchases around to your store now that I can get the QS.

I wouldn't think shipping would be that much. A gallon of QS actually doesn't have much in it, it arrives as a concentrate and you add water to get the full gallon. I'm sure you'll be more than pleased with the service you get from Bob (Danase).

You hear about issues and things getting tough inAmerica , Walmart limiting rice sales etc. and i suppose it puts in context when you want say its $54 per gallon shipped!

:sadpace:

After it gets shipped to the UK it costs about £25/$50 and then next day delivery is about £5/$10 total of it all in the UK delivered is about £30/$60(ish) USD. We used to think it was expensive!

I'm ordering from Bob, along with a few other goodies. He had the best price out there and didn't add much to the shipping with the other items. Got orders coming from AG, Autopia store, Bob at Danase, and ExcelDetail, my personal favorite people to do business with. Thanks for the replies, especially to Bob who noticed an issue online and resolved it immediately! I only wish every consumer goods industry had merchants like these guys.

If you order a case (4 gallons) directly from Clearkote, I believe the price is $22 a gallon-or at least it was about a year ago.

Thanks for the heads-up, Scott. I only use less than a gallon every season, and that's including giving a friend about a quart.

I got 4 gallons last January ('07) and still have more than a gallon left...and I use it every day in my business as my glass cleaner.

You selected 2nd Day Air as your shipping method, hence the higher rate. Regular ground shipping is $8.95. Clearkote has increased prices after four plus years of keeping them the same.

Thanks for clearing that up, Scott P. I didn't notice the shipping option on your website. For some reason it defaults to next-day or 2nd day. Next time I will keep that in mind. Very reasonable compared with other online retailers.
