Morning all,

I got rid on my knock off polishers and got a good deal on a new Flex 3401 plus the open box Rupes 15Mark 11 and a mini Rupes so with the sale going on now and the end of auto-connect coming I need to get some info and stock up on pads.

Thanks

LC Hybrids! Wow, 3 polishers all at the same time

Rupes 15 was an open box deal..

3401 was on ebay.

Rupes mini was on ebay.

Buy the time the dust settled I made $5.00 :)

I learn something all the time , on polishers name brand :)

I have also found great success with Lake Country pads, all flat pads..

The best all-around pad for my Rotary has been the LC Hydro-Tech for the 5" Backing Plate, I have affectionately renamed the Hydro-Shred... :)

The Cyan (blue) pad is pretty much all I ever need to correct anything with an appropriate for the job compound or polish..
The Hydro-Shreds use a more firm, tight foam that does not absorb product easily, so the product stays on the top of the pad in contact with the paintwork..
This great feature also makes them easier to clean since its just the top of the pad that has the product in it..

And this same pad has the ability to also finish down really nice... It might be all you need to correct and polish LSP ready...

L/C also makes a Tangerine (orange) Hydro that has less correction ability than the Cyan, and sometimes, I will make that second pass after the initial compound pass with the Tangerine and something lighter..

All depends on the zillion variables of paint correction..

The only 1 constant for my needs and process - Rotary Power... :)

I am sure that these pads can work with other machines, but it will take longer... Remember, its pad rotation that you want to have as much of as possible..

LC Hybrid pads are about as good as it gets from AG. LC has released an updated pad over six months ago, the LC Force with Hybrid Foam and it replaces the older Hybrid pads. Your guess is as good as mine as to when AG will be stocking these newer pads. LC doesn`t even list the older Hybrid pads on their site anymore.

LC Hybrids are by far my favorite pads for the 3401. The white Hybrid and Menz SF4500 make a great combo!

The regular thickness Hydrotech`s, not the thin, work really well also. Only problem with the Hydro`s is that they are closed cell foam and combined with the amount of heat the 3401 creates can cause pad failure.
