Best option for New Blue WRX

OK, I'm picking up my new '08 WRX Sedan this Friday off of the showroom floor!! I'm excited. This will be my first new car.

OK, I want to know out of the products I have what would be best to put on the nice bright blue, World Rally Blue Pearl. I need something that looks good and will stand up to a PA/WV winter. I'll mostly be driving the ranger during the winter, unfortunately the car will sit outside.

Here's the car, I took a camera phone pic while I was in the showroom.

Some of the products I have

Polishes: Menz SIP, 106FF, Megs 83, Z-pc, Megs 9

AIO's: Z-AIO, JW Prime Acrylic

Glazes: RMG, DWG, Menzerna Glaze, Megs 7

Sealants: Z-2 Pro, Z-5 Pro, Z-CS, Danase paint sealant, JW AJT, Optiseal, EX-P, DG 101, DG 111

Waxes: CG 50/50, Pinnacle Signature Series, Collinite 845, Adams Buttery Wax

I know I have more than that, but that's the things I can think of off of the top of my head.

Thanks guys...

- Jason

Jason, congratulation on your new ride, if it was me i would go with the Zaino products that you have or use Collinite 845, don't forget to prep your new car. Bet it's going to pop like crazy! Awesome WRX............

I just plan to clay and either 106ff or AIO it, might even try out the Prime Acrylic... Then top that with a sealant or wax. Just not sure which one yet, I haven't had the pleasure to use anything on a blue car yet. Just gotta get it done before it gets real cold.

I would clay them maybe use ZAIO then maybe top it with a sealant for the winter. Enjoy it and when your done with the finish how bout some pic's of it. I love that blue color and i know you would too! Enjoy.........:usa

the name of tghe game is protection.. so i would go with collinite or Zanio.... although i've also had good luck with FMJ also..

in the summer.. Liquid sov ***

You'll have all spring and summer next year to fart around with different waxes. Winter is upon us so I would put something durable on it to start

I pick it up Friday morning just before I see the endodontist to fix a screwed up root canal and a crown... I'm hoping I feel well enough Friday to get on it, but realistically, I won't touch it until Saturday.

The plan it to clay it, then I'm torn between 106ff or Prime Acrylic, followed by Danase Wet Glaze and Collinite 845. Could also do Prime Acrylic, AJT, then wait a week and apply 845... Not sure. I could always go the ZAINO route...

Collinite 845 has served me well through winter as a topper on my Atlantic Blue 05 Subaru Legacy wgn.

If you drive a lot of highway you might want to consider a clear bra up front. This Suby paint chips like crazy.

I was thinking about a clear bra, but haven't actually saw a car with one on it, so I'm not sure about it. I did end up using 845 as my topper and have 900 miles on it now. It's a blast to drive!!

Here it is right after I cleaned it up and removed the dealer installed swirls. I made a post for it on the click & brag.

I have since added a second coat of 845 and a used fk425 a couple times, it looks even better!!!
