Best One Step Polish

hey guys i am not making a poll but i wanted to ask what you guys go for when the car/truck you're working on only needs a one step polishing procedure. figure light swirls and scratches that can be polished out with only ONE product and using a PC with either an orance or white LC pad. SSR1? M205? Menzerna? love to hear from the experienced one's out there. thanks. Elk P.S. sorry if this is a repost. its early

Since my DD has single stage paint nothing works better than M80.
I also use it on clear coat most of the time but have many others that i occasionally use.
With 7 vehicles I use different polishes on them to see what I like best but M80 is tops for SS paint.

Another vote for Meguiar's #80 for light swirls & scratches.

For finish more in need of just a cleaner prep, several work for me.
Duragloss #501
Optimum Poli-Seal
Klasse AIO

It will be interesting to see just how many different products are suggested. You could probably get good results with any of at least 50 polishes on the market.

As a side note/question. Isn't the LC Orange pad a light cutting pad?
Will it allow the polish to finish down to where it is LSP ready?
I have some of the LC Orange pads, but have never used them. I always felt I would need to follow up with a less aggressive pad after using the Orange pad.

I am not a pro, but if I am looking to do a one step polish and then straight to wax, like Black Bart, I also like M80 Speed Glaze. I have been using it for several years.

If I am looking for an all in one slight polish/wax product (cleaner wax), I usually reach for Meguiar's M66 Quick Detailer. I really like this product. It will remove some light swirls as well as leaves behind a nicely waxed finish all in one step.

I have not tried any of the PB polishes yet.

Right now, I'd have to go with M205. It finishes nice enough in my opinion. That is assuming you are asking about a polish and not an all-in-one type product that will leave protection behind.

what i want to do is get rid of the minor swirls and scratches with ONE product then seal by hand (Klasse or WGPS) then wax the next day (NB,P21S, or Pinnacle SeriesII)

IMO PB P-w-C or P-w-S are great one step polishes, Klasse AIO is also another one, but I think that its limited in removing minor marring.

The other polish that I have used and like as a finial is SSR1

Like Charles said their are many good polishes and of those that I have used when finished I could not tell a difference in the appearance.

I said my vote was M80 based on not just that it will match others for looks but I can buy it locally it cost about 20 bucks for a gallon that is less than what you will pay for 16 ounces of some.
M 80 is great for a newbie is is very forgiving low dusting and since it was originally designed years ago for single stage paint if you have a vehicle with SS paint like my daily driver the oils in it makes it outstanding.

On clear coat it will look as good as anything and cost less that makes it one I keep buying.

If you are in a rush then 205 would be faster but for minor correction LC orange and M80 will do it pretty quick.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up... how about D-151? I've been generally impressed with it. I save the 205 for multi-step polishing paired with 105.

I would say for a one step, with protection, right now I like Megs 151

For a one pass polish with no protection, I say Menzerna SIP

For a one step polish and wax/sealant it is a toss up between PwS or D-151 for me. It usually comes down to if I like the person. If I like them they get PwS topped with Natty's blue as a bonus cause I am generous and want a repeat costumer.

For a one pass polish I am totally sold on P0203 power finish. I used it on my friends not well kept Ranger and it took out some defects that I would have thought would have needed more attention. Plus it finished down on his ROCK hard Fusion to LSP ready I though I would need to follow up with something else. Now if he would only keep his cars clean.

im still using system one polish .. i have not used anything else since i started with that product.. below are my results... great results even without using a high speed just my cyclo takes out so many inperfections i though would need the use of a high speed buffer.
