best inexpensive microfiber for daily Quick Detailing?

I like my Orange Vroom towels from Target (wish they would change them to blue though). They're especially great if you can get the Buy 2 for $8 deal :)
 
Autogeek has the Cobra Supeme buff 530's on sale right now. I think the 2 pck is buy one get one so you get 4 for 14.99. those towels are great
 
i buy 200 to 400 at a time in four different colors so i can keep them separate from different products i use them with for if you need some i would be glad to help out pm me i send you a few just pay for box an shipping always glad to help out.

I really hate to make it a habbit of agreeing with BigJim ;) , but...

Every time you are QD'ing the dust, etc. off of your car, you are marring/swirling your paint.

If you have a paint color that swirls aren't readily seen on, then no worries, but remember, your car will *never* look it's glossy best if it has swirls and marring. Swirl free/ mar free paint is capable of a much higher level of gloss.



Daily QD'ing in the manner you are, *will* mar your paint, and you will eventually see significant dulling. I'm not trying to be a mean guy here... that's just not who I am... I'm just trying to be honest and tell ya, "hey man, you're screwing up!" and see if we can get you going down a different road that will give you the clean car you want without causing marring. I'd much rather see you do a daily ONR wash (which would only take you a few more minutes) than what you're doing now.



Every single particle that is being trapped under your MF and dragged across your paint when you QD is scratching your paint.



Now that my whole post is totally off topic, I like the cheap Target Vroooom brand MF's for daily grunge work, but they don't last very long. :)
 
I have a few clients that do daily wipedows in the summer with great success using z6 and z8.



If you have embedded dirt on the car then I suggest a wash.



I have great luck with the grey mf's from Target.

How do you usually maintain your DD? Just wash once a week then top it with QD? Would ONR every 2 days followed up by QD be overkill on a DD? Thanks

In the summer, daily touch-free washes with my foam cannon and PW. In the winter, every-other-day coin-op touch free washes. Once a month, i follow up the coin-op touch free with a very thorough ONR wash, then an LSP application.



ONR every two days followed by a QD sounds perfect.
 
Instead of onr'ing it than qd'ing itn why not just onr and than top with a spray wax like aquawax or ocw? Takes the same amount time as qd'ing and you get the added durability

I was planning on putting DWG + UPGP on the car. Would those spray waxes be better then FK425 after ONR?
 
both the ocw and aw tend to attract dust ,FK 425 has anti static qualities which attract less dust , but provide very little protection for your finish
 
Man, you want to work on your car every day? I take it you aren't married or have a current girlfriend. Either one would find something for you to do every day.:chuckle:

You are getting some good advice from some of the more senior members on this forum. I agree with what they have said. Nothing wrong with what you have planned either, you will just have to spend a little more time to polish out the swirls and scratches from the daily QD'ing. ONR every few days is what I advocate, but hey if it pleases you to QD every day, hats off and good luck.:D
 
Im guilty of using a QD every day lol! I dont do it as much in the winter but I think you have to be really cautious and use common sense when doing it, i.e. dont QD when there is an inch of dust on the car or anything you can leave a finger print in. Depending on the dust level etc I think you either have to maintain every day or not at all until the next wash.

AW does not attract dust for me:confused:



also AW last 20X longer then 425

as it should it is a spray sealant

not a QD like 425 it's not apples to apples
