Best Glaze?

I know most people here don't like glazes. Most autopians seem to wonder why you should glaze when you can correct. Well, for those times when you don't have time to correct or times when you don't want to keep thinning the clear I think a glaze comes in handy. With that in mind, what do you guy think is the best glaze with the following factors:

1. Swirl Fill Capability

2. Durability

3. Sealant/wax compatibility

I know DWG appears to be one of the popular glazes around here, but it doesn't seem to offer much in fill capability.

Covered many many many times...

Well I glaze after correcting but use permanent glazes and polymer based glazes that allow any sealant or wax to bond to it

Filling- permagard PD and Glare Micro finish and pro polish combo

Durability - glare, permagard, prima amigo & another sealer

sealant/wax compatibility - prima amigo, blackfire GEP, ultra gloss, driven auto polish, dinitrol 7020

UGH! The obsession that glazes are for hiding correcting abilities.

Anyway, i suggest you check out the search feature as this has been discussed many times. You would want to pick a glaze that does the most for you, RMG is great for enhancing metalics and pearls, 81 hand polish seems effective at hiding defects.

If you want to fill you generally have to sacrifice durability and bonding issues with sealants and waxes.

Personally I love 3m Imperial Hand Glaze for filling. But it's durability and ability to top with sealants isn't good. I use 3M Glaze for the cheap client or dealership that wants those $75 detail jobs because they just want to make the car look good to sell it or trade in a lease and the car is filled with swirls.

An acrylic glaze usually won't fill that great but it will at wetness and last a lot longer and will allow for just about any sort of topper you want to use if at all.

Wannafbody; it darkens paintwork which isnt always a good thing. You need to pick your product for your application. Like wise, if you have an old SS paintwork car you wont be putting oils back in the paintwork as CG EZ Glaze, DWG, Prima (what ever it is!) all suspend the glazing content in a polymer layer.
