I have a car lot that does not want to pay for correction work but wants to "fill" the defects in as best as possible.

What do some of you recommend?

Please lets not turn this into a what's right thread. This is what they are paying ME for and what THEY want done.

Thanks!!!!

I like 1Z WaxPolishSoft, but I think that's one of those weirdo products that's hard to find and pricey :o

I think most people love Bilt-Hamber Auto Balm for this.

Meguiar's M09 Swirl Remover 2.0 is OK too, minimal "removing" but lots of filling.

Haven't used it in ages, but 3M made stuff for "Dark paint" and "Light paint" that worked OK.

Totally forgot about M09. And #80 too. Thanks!

Fast and cheap for lot cars... I'd use RMG or Meg's #7. If you want to just do a one step on a lot car, I'd suggest Meguiar's D151 Reconditioning cream. This works well with either a Rotary or DA and you can adjust the cut with your use of pads. Fast, easy and economical one step.

If your lot is really cheap just hit the car with NuFinish (gasp) and be done with it.

Another one I thought of, Poliseal, its dirt cheap, goes a very long way. Its not an epic filler, it does an ok job BUT the stuff is just so easy to use. It melts into the paint and there is VERY little cleanup afterwards.

if it's just a glaze, CG glossworkz (light blue) is really good.

As far as poliseal, though thats not what you want. I seem to use a lot of that. Any tips Dan?

Honestly, my only tip would be try it on a rotary with a polishing pad, I can knock out a car in about 30 minutes. I love the stuff for cleaning up friends cars that don't need (as in it will just get hammered again) a true correction. Otherwise its so easy and flexible, it works in about any situation. The only let down is durability. I have some GPS coming, hopefully that improves it a bit.

+1. A very good product that doesn't get much recognition and provides a couple months of protection.

Aren't traditional glazes going to wash away in the rain?

For ease of use I like M66 over D151.

I keep forgetting about M66, its so cheap for a gallon, it fills well and its easy to use. much less dust vs D151. Keep away from trim though.

When I was doing dealer cars, I mainly used D151 and they were always happy. The only thing I didn't like about it was it was hard to remove after it hazed, so I just didn't let it haze though the directions say to do so. Didn't really notice any durability issues doing that, but the cars were usually sold or auctioned within a month anyway.

If I were to start doing dealer cars again, I'd probably use HD Speed, has decent cut with the right pad, wipes off very easy and has ok filling capabilities. And the price is right for all that.

I agree its a good product. Ive only ised it with flex 3401 / polishing pad. Ireread my pos and what I meant to say was I seem to use a lot of produc per car. I guess I just dont trust the light cutting ability is still there so I add more? I dont know.

I like Black Hole, but its just a glaze not an AIO. It does hide some minor stuff. The Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish is a paint cleaner / glaze that is pretty good as well. Can kill 2 birds with 1 stone there.

I totally agree.^^^

Justin - you gotta try HD Speed. Super easy to work with. Corrects pretty good for a polish, adds incredible amounts of gloss and add some nice protection. Works in full sun, no dust and wipes off effortlessly.

I have tried several times. Before it was released and then another bottle after release. Correction was really good for an AIO but durability lasted for like 5-6 days. Maybe the newer version is better. Mine just seemed like a weak version of UNO.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and comments.

Might have to order up a bottle of a newer version of Speed. Has it changed that much?
