Best Glaze Around?

Just purchased Blackfire Gloss enhancing Polish and was very impressed with the application and results. But I will only be using that for my my vehicles, looking for some opinions on a glaze that i can layer megs 16/PW over.

Any help is appreciated, thanx

I have had nice results with Danase Speed Glaze..it is a acrylic glaze and lasted much longer than a oil type glaze..and the results were very good...gave a nice deep wet look....

Second red moose glaze or XMT glaze for Pin. Souveran. If you want a pure polish Meguiar's #3, 5, 7, or 81 give a nice foundation.

My last detail I used PO85RD, Red Moose Glaze, Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze, and then Topped with Pin. Souveran. Wow

I used Pinnacle XMT Carnauba Finishing Glaze and was not that impressed with it when compared to Vanilla Moose. I felt the VM left a wetter look. Plus it has a little bit of correction ability than XMT and nice cleaning ability after a polishing or on a surface that may need a little cleaning.

RMG gets a serious thumbs up too. I used it on a candy apple red 1980 BMW motorcycle and it left a super wet, deep look after polishing.

I also like Chemical Guys EX Creme Glaze. It looks and smells (I think) like XMT, but leaves a VM type look. They claim that sealants can be used over it.

I use CG's glaze, same product. It gives a different look than RMG, one that I happen to like a lot. It adds way more depth, at the cost of a little wetness. Plus it plays nice with sealants. Easier to use than RMG too - it never leaves oily streaks, which RMG does occasionally. Not as much hiding as RMG though. If you want hiding, One Grand Omega is where it's at.

Basically it goes (less to more):

Wetness

CG Acrylic

OG Omega

Meg's #7

RMG

Depth (subjective, I don't mean to start a flamewar)

#7

RMG

Omega

CG

Hiding

CG

#7

RMG

Omega

Ease of use

#7 (avoid use on clearcoats......don't ask me how I know)

Omega

RMG

CG

Overall, #7 is amazing on SS cars, not so impressive on BC/CC. OG hides well. RMG is super wet, and CG is my go-to.

Yeah, great post themightytimmah :xyxthumbs

And if, for some reason (like frequent applicaiton on a repainted car), ease-of-use is of paramount importance, then look into Meg's #5...about the most idiot-proof glaze ever.

the glaze Tim is talking of is the EZ creme Glaze..from CG's....the same product from Danase is called Speed Glaze...both are the same product....

Thanks you

Ha, I see you like pits. I have two myself. Best dogs I could have ever gotten hands down!

If your LSP is going to be 16/PW (or any carnauba) than I will strongly recommand either RMG or VM, you can never go wrong with either one :) .

With a high protection rating of 8 it sounds more like an acrylic sealant than glaze.

CG's X-Treme Creme Glaze gets my vote.

I started using it when CG first introduced it and find it works very well under a sealant or wax or just by itself, depending what you or a customer wants.

I use it with Sourveran and just love it on my sonic blue metallic /pear clear coat paint people always ask me whats my secret at shows I tell them if I told them my secret it wouldn't be a secret anymore LOL
