Is HD polish the real deal final polish without the oils contained in menzerna????  Is it a filling polish at all?

looking for something else for jet blacks when menzerna wont play nicely with a coating application.

sonax perfect finish

menzerna 4500

those were/are my go to

reflect doesnt finish down on ferrari paint so well.  leaves the paint micromarred.  had it happen on 3 different Ferraris and two black bmw and two black porsches.  Anything other than black, its amazing.  But the softness of the paint doesnt allow reflect to finish out mar free due to the slight cutting ability

HD POLISH. Best finishing polish I've used and leave NOTHING behind. Perfect for coatings and best gloss.

Sparingly is an understatement.

You don't need to go light, because it is harder

to get off, you go light just because the little

that you need.

It also has a very long work time.

I jumped straight from hyper compound to finish,

with zero problems.

HD polish has been one of my go to finishing polishes for a while now. For Opti-Coat Pro jobs I've been using Primer with excellent results.

I just tried HD polish for the first time and I must say, I am very impressed with it. Finishes down nicely, very long working time. I need to try the rest of their lineup.

<span style="font-size:10.5pt;"><span style="color:#222222;"><span style="font-family:arial, sans-serif;">I like keeping a variety of polishes around, HD Polish, Optimum finishing, Megs 205, Menzerna....etc. I use DP paint prep for coating applications. I would recommend picking some HD Polish up.

ok, HC polish it is!

IMO, no need for super long working times.  If I can polish a section in 1 min with product A and 10 min in product B and achieve the same results, why waste the time?

Lately, I've been using:

Optimum Finish

3D HD Polish

Rupes Keramik Gloss

Opti-Coat Primer (which you can only get with Opti-Coat pro)

What really surprised me was Keramik Gloss, its meant for harder German paints but works well on Japanese paints too.

I have used so many "finishing polishes" lately and over the years, but IMO the HD is truely a step up in the this dept.  I have yet to find a paint that it won't finish out on.

I think most great finishing polishes work on about 85% of paint systems..they are formulated and tested on a bell curve..

It has been my experience that *all* of the modern "trouble" paint sytems will finish out perfectly  with HD polish. If my guys have a problem with it (only happened twice), it was user error--usually too much product and or a loaded pad combined with too large of a section and not enough pressure.

I use prime as well when installing opticoat pro, but if I have a jet black Ferrari, GTR, etc I just use HD and follow up with a quick alcohol wipe--never a surprise....
