Best filling glaze?

Hey wats up everyone just wanted to see what people think is the best glaze (or any product) that i can use to hide light swirls. It doesn't necessarily have to be a glaze. I have a Black 2006 jetta and I do plan on doing complete paint correction in 3 or 4 months when I purchase a UDM, but for now I just want to cover up the swirls. Also, I plan on topping that glaze off with z5 pro as an LSP, will it bond well to it? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thx

I've seen that Meguiar's NXT fills in swirls very well.

Hello

Prehapes heres an answer you are looking for: If you want to hide swirls and want to use a sealant (thats not EXP or Wolfgang as both work fine with oil based glazes) then you need PRIMA AMIGO. It fills very well, its works with sealant products such as Z5.

As its a glaze you can apply as much as you want before you top with Z5, every layer will fill more of the gaps.

Just remeber, Z5 is best in its purest form, as in Z5 on its own on clean paintwork. Prima Amigo may effect metalic pop or pearl effect and/or darken paintwork etc etc. all stuff i have mentioned before if you do a search on my name.

But anyway! It should fill your gaps and give you a nice finish. Just remeber Prima Amigo needs a clean (as in polished with no sealer or paintwork cleaned) finish before you apply it.

Enjoy!

Poorboy's Black Hole is what i would suggest

Hi!

Have you used this product? I have just ordered it and people are suggesting that its simply the same as CG EZ Glaze which (now) is the same as DWG and Jorgens ?X?X glaze.

If it is then filling will be extremely minimal.

The others you mentioned are Acrylic based but the PB glazes are not. As for the filling, it's nothing spectacular with the Black Hole but enough to freshen the look on a used vehicle. It also contains light cleaners which the DWG doesn't have. So it's like a glaze and paint cleaner all in one.

One that I use on my black DDs and never is mentioned here is Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish. A polish/glaze that hides minor marring and gives that "wet look". Top w/ your fave LSP and you're good to go. Their Wet Diamond stains trim and is best stayed away from.

Have read good things about Prima Hydro and Amigo and will place orders for those soon.

Swirl Filling Products from Prima Car Care - ShowCarDetailing

Autoglym Super Resin Polish is another that I may well put on order.

Oh ok, where does it say the PB are not acrylic? PBs sealant play fine with oil based glazes i know. It just seems very similar to first version of CG EZ Glaze, the new version has no cleaners.

i just got some #7 show car glaze from meguiars and it does a pretty good job in filling. best thing about it is that you can get it OTC.

Will Prima Amigo mute/blend in the flakes on metallic paint?

I have had mixed results with Amigo hiding metalic and pearl, so i cant tell you too much yet. On silver it appeared not to mute at all, on a dark Honda i thought it had a bit, or rather it had darkened the paintwork and seemed like the metalic was less bright.

I know Richard is a big fan at showcardetailing so would probably have lots of pics or advice!

I am not an expert in glazes but have recently tried the three glazes of EZ creme, DWG, and Black Hole and my findings are even though they are similar in looks and smell each has their own properties. My most recent acquisition is Black Hole and I am very impressed with the look and the filling properties of the product. More so than the other two products. This information may be mitigated by the fact that I prefer Poorboy's products to the other two companies so take my information with a grain of salt.

Not exactly a glaze but a wile back there was a great write up about filling properties and Autoglym SRP came out well. Based on the report I've used it on a buddy's Nighthawk black Accord with a PC and noticed circular wash induced light swirls filled up or polished out. Gives a nice nuba look too, not sharp like if you used a finishing polish Menzerna etc.

Ok, questions about PB Black Hole. What 'can' you follow this up with? Can I top it off with 1Z Glanz Wax, or must I go back to One Grand Blitz?

I ask because in an ideal world I could stay with Glanz, but I need the fillers that PB Black Hole might contain.
