I need to replace some pads. I have Megs but the hook and loop is no longer holding after 3 hand washes???

Who has the best deal on pads out there?

Something doesn't sound right with your Meg's pads. I have some that have been washed at least 1/2 dozen times and there is no problem with the hook & loop attachement.
Maybe the problem is with the hooks on the backing plate. Can you try the pads on a different backing plate?

It sounds like your Megs pads are pretty new. I'd bet dollars to donuts that if you drop them an email about your problem they'll replace the pads for free.

Charles,
That is what I was thinking also... I tried it with a Megs finish pad that I have and it held on fine. I am confused as well... I could see the backing coming loose if I had machine washed but this was washing by hand in a bucket?

Having said that I can not say the backing plate isn't contributing to the securing problem...

Mikeyc,

You were correct. I sent an email to Meg's They responded today. I got off the telephone with Rick in customer service a little while ago. They are sending out replacments for the pads.

I will have to say Meguiar's Customer Service is top notch.

Thanks!

do you get to keep the old pads? i may just call them about my cutting pad falling apart. Was using it monday, when i was just about done the pad went flying off the machine while buffing the hood. The white part thats attached to the pad came off and was still on the backing plate.

I'm not certain? If they want them I will send them back. They are of very little use to me since they won't stay on the backing plate...

No problem. I bought some duo-fiber glass towels earlier this year that fell apart the first time I washed them. They replaced them no questions asked. Unfortunately, the replacement towels don't fall apart they just lint like crazy.

Yes, these look very interesting. Thanks for bringing these to everyone's attention.
