Best applicator for applying vinyl protectants.

What do you guys suggest for applying #40. This may be due to the product but I am having trouble gettting a even coat on the rubber trim.
 
If you mean weatherstripping like around the doors and such, just use a foam paint brush you can get in packs from a dollar store. If you mean for the interior ,a good palm size sponge or foam wax applicator. I'd also like to get a hold of some of these:

If you mean like hard rubber/vinyl trim ( I 'm thinking sorta like Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevy Avalanche for example), I just use the Klasse twins

Thanks for the tip...I'm getting ready to order some window cleaning applicators from TOL.
 
I use the Terry Cloth Polishing pads you find at pep boys. Usually made by Viking. I just spray the protectant on them and wipe the surface. It's nice because the protectant stays where you wipe it.

I have been using either 1" foam paintbrushes for the trim, or el-cheapo dollar store sponges for applying in the interior. I can get away with using these because protectants aren't as thick or sticky as stuff like waxes and polishes so holding onto it is easier. They're disposable too.
 
I use the terry applicator for the interior as well as a paint brush for vents, cracks and hard to reach areas. I just spray the applicator pad and "dab"it with the brush like a painters pallet. I bought a high quality brush about five years ago, and with regular cleanings it's still good as new. For the exterior I use cheap foam brushes, and flannel towels.
 
Got my TOL applicators today and will try them in the next few days. I've got to give a plug to TOL on this. I had placed an order with them earlier Sunday and then placed a second order for the applicators. They threw them in with my first order for free. The first order was only $12.10 with shipping so that was a very nice surprise. As a result I ordered 3 PC pads and a new backing plate...good customer service pays off!:xyxthumbs
