For my brother's birthday I wanted to get him something for his new car so I am going to send him some of my extra stuff I have around and wrote this up for him:
He is a complete beginner at this and if he didn't live 3,000 miles away I would be detailing his car.
Can anyone give me some input on if this is good or would they change anything around. Also any other products that you would send a complete beginner?
Note that his car is Opti-Coated and because he lives in downtown Seattle and him not really having enthusiasm towards detailing a proper two bucket wash just isn't going to happen.

Meguiars Hyper Dressing: Thicker light blue liquid with black foam applicator
Apply Meguiars Hyper Dressing using a foam applicator and wipe off excess to prevent sling-off. The dressing can also be used to detail engine components and exterior rubber trim. Wipe off overspray immediately. For best results, reapply after every wash.

(You will be using this to spray on your wheels and tires mostly, if you get a stain in the interior carpet this is also perfect)
Meguiars Last Touch Detail Spray: Thin pink liquid
Last Touch Spray Detailer produces a deep, wet-looking gloss in a matter of seconds. Just spray on and wipe off to add a dazzling shine to a finely detailed vehicle. The formula contains polymeric lubricating agents that remove dust and fingerprints as they form a slick, micro-thin coat of gloss. The lubricants allow dust and dirt to wipe off without scratching. Use Meguiars Last Touch Spray Detailer in between details to refresh the shine of your existing wax.
1.Vacuum out the interior of the car
2. Spray interior directly or onto microfiber with the Meguiars interior detailer and protectant. Wipe down interior with Costco microfiber and protectant. It is safe on everything so don't worry about getting it on something.
3.Use leather cleaner on the seats and all leather material, center console, doors etc. Spray the leather cleaner on Costco microfiber or directly onto the surface. Rub it into the surface and let it sit for a few minutes to tackle the stains, buff off surface completely using a non soiled Costco MF towel
4. Wipe leather conditioner on all areas that leather cleaner was used on. Let sit for a bit and buff off with a non soild Costco MF
5. Use the glass cleaner with newspaper to clean the windows of the interior
6. Spray all purpose cleaner + on wheels and especially on the tires, and any place where there is a heavy dirt or grime buildup on the car. DO NOT LET IT DRY ON THE PAINT!!!
7. Wash the car using the soap cycle and than regular water cycle, make sure EVERYTHING that can be sprayed off is
8. Keep the car in the drive thru bay so that the sun doesn't dry the water and leave water spots. Dry off the car using the HD Guzzler Waffle Weave Microfiber.
9. Use Costco Microfibers to dry the wheels and tires.
10. Use the hyper dressing with the foam swipe pad applicator to dress the tires and make them look new. I like to spray the hyper dressing directly on the applicator and then wipe on the tires, but you can spray the dressing on the tires and use the applicator to rub it into the tires. Use a Costco microfiber to wipe off any hyper dressing that made its way onto the wheels
11. Spray the quick detailer onto one of the gold plush jr microfiber towels, usually 3 -4 pumps to "prime" the towel. Than spray the quick detailer directly onto the paint and wipe using the microfiber towel. This will give the car that sparkly just sealed look.
12. Use the glass cleaner and newspaper to wipe down the outside glass. Spray the crumbled newspaper and then wipe so that you don't mist the glass cleaner onto the paint. It won't harm the paint at all if you do get some on it but wipe off with the Gold Plush Jr microfiber if some gets on the paint not the newspaper.
Once a year he will take his car to a professional detailer to be clayed, polished, sealed, and waxed. These steps are just for him to keep his car up in the meantime.
