A friend of mine brought a new A4 over that had beed damaged pulling into a small garage. I put the pc and SSR's to work and the results were pretty good.

The owner was very happy. Of course I couldnt do anything about the damaged plastic at the bottom where the paint came off.

So the white you see in the before pic is still the paint and not the primer?

You have me wondering now if I can get a large rub off my girl's car. She scraped a house pulling into her driveway and it looks similar to your first pic on her mirror. Maybe it can be saved. I thought it was down past the paint but maybe not.

That's an amazing job.

Nice work! I figured that would need some wetsanding and/or thinner's to remove. Good job with the compounds!

Thanks everyone. It took me about 30 min. The white you see is paint from the side of the garage. It took alot of SSR3 and a orange Excel pad to get it off. I followed it with SSR 2.5, SSR2 and AIO. I wasnt sure if I could remove it or not. The white paint from the garage was like burned into the cars paint if that makes sense. If was fun. I never get a chance to use the SSR's and anything more aggressive than a blue pad on my cars.

nice job :up ! i had some paint transfer that i took off from my boss's 03 corolla that looked similiar to that. alot of people shouldn't under estimate the pc, with the right pad, polish/compound, and good technique you can accomplish quite a bit...

How did you do that without a rotary!?!? I just started using a rotary last week so that I could get out worse scratches and also not take 8 hours just for polishing on customers cars and I could not take a defect like that out with a pc unless I sat there for hours and hours on the same defect.

Did you ever try removing the paint transfer with some paint thinner instead of buffing?

No I didnt. I dont have any. My friend called me a couple of hours before and asked if he could stop by and help him. I went straight for the pc and SSR's. I didnt even think about using paint thinner.
