Hi all, :sadwavey:

Been a long time since I posted or lurked here :wall My question is, what has changed in the last 2 years? Is Klasse still a favorite like it was back then? Below is my normal list of products and they are in order:

Paint:

Dawn wash

Griots clay

Dry with waffle weeve from Pakshak

3M SMR with yellow cutting pad (from CMA)

Klasse AIO with white medium pad (2 coats and 3 on leading edges) Remove with MF

Klasse SG with black pad (very soft!) Apply 3 coats 24 hours apart

After layerng SG, Apply S100 for that "wet look"

Wheels:

Griots wheel cleaner

Griots rubber cleaner

Meguires endurance gel (I like to super glossy look)

Yes I am a pretty big Griots fan and even back then it was thought of as good product with excellent service at a price premium...

Thanks all

Brian :sadwavey:

The Werkstatt Twins (Pime/AJ) are the newest acrylic formulations from Carlak of Germany. The Prime (original version) has less cleaning power than the old AIO, but it supposedly can provide more protection if you let it cure for ~ 30 mins. Acrylic Jett is much easier to use than SG and produces a wetter shine than the sometime silvery sheen of SG.

Jeff has also produced several different versions of Prime/AJ. I suggest you visit his website for the differences on these new products.

Cleanmaxx Brian- Welcome back!

I'm still using the Klasse twins for that application. The big changes, for me, away from the stuff on your list are:

-Sonus clay and Glyde lube instead of Griot's. I tried using up some of my Griot's clay on a loaner car and was remined how utterly inferior it it compared to the Sonus. I actually quit using the Griot's and opened a new bar of Sonus to use on that I-don't-care/just-a-loaner. Sonus cleans better and leaves far less residue (it even cleaned off previously invisible yellow crap from where I'd used the Griot's bar).

The Sonus green is mild enough to use all the time, doesn't strip LSPs to an appreciable extent.

-No more wheel cleaner as a general rule. I use the Klasse twins on my wheels and clean them with slightly stronger-than-normal carwash shampoo (Griot's).

Oh, two other things: I've quit topping my KSG as I like to just add more now and then. Doesn't look quite as good, but I'm happier overall. And I really don't use cutting pads with the PC any more. For that matter, I've sorted out the wash routine to where I no longer mar my vehicles to any extent, don't even polish them once a year now. Wash techniques seem to finally be getting the attention they deserve (IMO) here at Autopia.

Do a search on Menzerna. People really love this stuff.

Finish Kare or FK for short, is becoming a new favorite, also.

Blackfire has a new formula out.

Meguiar's NXT has become a hugely popular OTC product.

You mentioned you like Meguiar's Endurance for it's super glossy look. Try Meguiar's NXT Insane Tire Shine. It is truly insane, and I don't think there is anything glossier. You may get ticketed by the police for blinding other drivers.
