Tex Star Detail

Formerly TexasTB
Did a quick detail on a regulars BMW. Just had is painted 2 tone about a month ago. Said the black looked faded. When I looked at the car, it wasn't faded. It was orange peel..lol not terribly bad, but enough to not get a decent reflection.

Here it was when it was red...

The rain came as soon as I delivered it....:surrender

It looks like you did a really good job on the detail. I'm just not sure how I feel about the paint scheme. I know he used the body lines to divide it, but I'm not sure if they are the type of lines that support that type of paint job.

I liked the red better, but it's not my car :notme: Looks like the water is beading.

And here I thought that this was a thread about me:D

Great looking ride the two tone is different...I'm not sure how I feel about it

Being a car enthusiast, I immediately start looking at any modifications and think about how they look on that specific vehicle. I can't help it.

Same here even though I'm not big into modding cars myself. I do like to look at cars and see what I like and don't like. When I was building my bike I looked at hundreds of bikes online to see what I liked and in the end I bought pieces here and there to get it to the way it is today.

The BMW, I don't like- I don't really have the specifics why but the overall appearance doesn't seem to work with me. The chrome around the windows and the wheels worked well together with the red, but not it doesn't seem right. As long as the owner is happy though

See, I don't even think the chrome wheels look that great on it. Yeah, they could have done a lot worse, but I think European sedans should have aluminum or painted wheels. Of course, all of this is just my opinion and every owner should choose the aftermarket parts they like and not the ones that other people like.

Great looking detail.:bigups Hideous paint job.:swirly:

Well, he just shot himself in the foot on trade-in value as well.

Thats what I was thinking, not sure what the amount of people that want a two toned BMW. I personally liked it better all red.

hahaha, where I live....they'd buy anything.

I took a pic with my phone the other day, I will upload it later. It was a Black monte carlo, across the whole side, it said "Tickle This" in red and had a red Elmo on the rear quarter panel......

Actually, I like the paint job...but to me it would have looked better in a deeper red..maybe something metallic. The bright red screams sports car to me which clashes with the classy lines of the car.

I think the 2-tone works, it just needs to be more classy, elegant colors.

Either way...the detail job looks great! Nice job!:10:
