Bazooka BTA10100

I've got a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab which has a factory audio system in it. I was looking to add a little low end bass to my system........nothing earth shattering........just a little more "oomph" that would squeeze in nicely behind my front seat. Since I'll be trading my truck in next year, I decided to order the Bazooka BTA10100 rather than go all out & replace my entire "stock" system. It's got a 10" subwoofer with a 100 watt amp built in. Does anyone have one of these?? If so, what's your impression of this Bazooka Tube?

I have a 10" un-powered tube. I have had the thing for like 10-12 years and it hasn't missed a beat(no pun intended). I got because a friend had a pair in a hatch back car with a mere 75 watts running to them and you could hardly stay in the car with them. They're very efficient and cover the meatiest part of the bass. It should easily be enough for the cab of your P/U.

I've thought about getting on myself, surely seems easier than building a box, picking a sub/amp and all of that, and I recall reading a comparison about some of those types of products but can't remember where, maybe crutchfield?

Thank you SoiledMan for your input.

How rude of me to mis spell your name!! ("SoiledMan".....lol.......) My bad! Truly sorry for that. And thank you for not calling me "Ron" instead of Rob! (lol)

As for pricing, I found Techronics.com to have the best pricing when you factor in the free shipping on the net. It came to $178.00 shipped for the Bazooka BTA10100. It should be here this Wed. I'll review it once I install it. Should be an easy install.

I bought two Bazooka tubes for nothing from a friend of mine back in college. I had them in the back of my Sonoma. Mine where unpowered and I blew one but replaced it with an Orion sub and it hit nice so I sold the second one. Anyway, they are nice for tight areas and the new ones are supposed to be really nice.

I think you could get much better performance elsewhere. Not to say the tube is bad, I have one on my golf-cart, but I think for the money you coulda gotten alot better and something with more range. The tubes only go down to 39hz and have a subsonic filter @35hz. Not much in low bass.
