Battle of the WW: Griot's vs Meguiar's

Well, I was in the local Pep Boys today picking up a couple of things when I spotted the Meguiar's Water Magnet (WW MF) hanging on the wall. So, I decided to grab one mainly because I had read so many positive things about it on the site. I already have a Griot's Garage WW towel that I like, but what the heck right?

Well, I only use WW MF towels to dry the car so my statements about these two towels revolve around that function.

Griot's: This is on big towel!! It also has pockets sewn into each corner to stick your hand in. The pockets really make the towel a lot easier to use. Also, since the towel is essentially folded on each end there is only stitched edging on two sides of the towel. This towel is very thirsty and sucks up all water in site. I use one to dry my entire car. However, the towel is $25

Megs Water Magnet: The megs towel is about 30% smaller than the GG towel. Also, there are no pockets. However, this towel is a bit softer than the GG and has silk cloth like edging on all four sides. Also, the megs towel seems to be a bit thirstier than the GG. However, one megs towel could not dry my entire car. At $8 a towel, you can buy three and still pay less than the price GG towel. So, if you need to use more than one no problem!!

Winner: Megs Water Magnet due to softness, thirstiness, and value!!!

I would agree... the Water Magnet is a pretty decent towel for the price. However, there are better WW towels.

Thats cheap, i saw one at Pep Boys for I think $7.95, which is still a decent price. I didnt realize it was kind of on the small size though for its thickness. I would think you would need a couple for a car of average size. Nice texture though.
