Ball Park figure...

I just googled it and it's a painted aluminum surface from Sundowner. Anyone have experience with painted aluminum surfaces? I don't know how thick these paint jobs are on these trailers.

I treat trailer's like that in the same class as boats and RV's basically pick a price that suits you by the foot. I charge $15/lf for a wash and wax and then $25/lf for a wash polish and wax.

NO WAY. I think that's going to be a lot more work than you think. If it needs to be polished and waxed and detailed I would charge over 1K for sure. It would take two of my guys all day to finish that thing.

We're in completely different areas there John. you may be able to snag a grand out of that. I wouldn't even be able to come close. It's not about any sort of set firm price it's how to price it. If you want to charge $100/lf so be it. I'm just saying the easiest way to charge for those types of details is by the foot.

You could just charge him by the hour and see how long it takes you?

I did a large horse trailer once, but I only washed and dried it and it took me nearly an hour, it was highly oxidized paint too, very powdery, it ruined everything that touched it.

You decide on the price. Do Not Cheat Yourself. That is painted aluminum. It will be a hard job. Been there done that! Did not charge enough. Learned a Good lesson. You my need a good metal polish first. Then wax. Good Luck.

Nice to see people can make all the money in the world then.. But for the record it was $15 a foot that's what the lf stands for (linier feet) so if that's a 20ft trailer the bill would be $300. not $15 just to clear that up a bit.
