Bad PC cord

I did a search and know other folks have been through this with the pc cord. Can anyone explain how to fix the cord? It seems to have a broken wire or something inside. I'd like to fix it myself just not sure how to. Don't mind taking it to a shop either. Just need it fixed.:buffing:

Step One: Open new Firefox tab.



Step Two: Type "google.ca".



Step Three: Search for "replace cord".



Step Four: Page full of results. Second result looks promising, "Replace a Damaged Power Tool Cord."

No problem, LangMan37. It helps, with google searches, to be less specific. Porter Cable cords aren't really unique so 'replace cord' works.
