Bad/Expired Optimum polish???

I just got an order of Optimum polish from Autogeek, and it seems a bit "odd". Having never used it before, I'm not entirely sure if this is normal, but I can't squirt any of it out of the nozzle. It gets plugged up every time I try, even after shaking the bottle for what seems like hours, enlarging the nozzle with a drill bit, and cleaning it several times.

What gives?

The nozzle stinks. Mine always gets clogged, the best way to fix this is to put it into another bottle.

I have had this happen too. My first bottle was a PITA. My second was no problem at all. I think my 3rd is going to be a PITA too. Make sure to shake up the bottle quite a bit, and maybe drill the hole a bit bigger?

I stick a pipe cleaner in the top while I'm working on the car. since I feel like I should be shaking it up every time I reapply, it's not such an inconvenient solution. no, the bottle doesn't leak when shaken with the pipe cleaner in the top. and yes, what you're experiencing is "normal".

I've got the same problem with my Opt. Poish. Haven't had it happen with my Hyper Compound, hopefully it won't

I have read on other forums that people are having trouble with the OP. Some are saying it is so clumpy that it is almost impossible to work with. i wonder if they all purchased the OP from the same vendor or just a bad batch..

I have 2 half full bottles of optimum that have both left me annoyed. The clumpyness and bad desgin of the bottle has led me to use two step polishes like menzerna, but greatly happy with their results.

For me they are absolutely smooth and creamy - never had any problems. I even like the small hole because I can apply just the right amounts...

I tried drilling out the hole in my OP, it worked for abour 2 minutes then it was clogged again. I ended up pulling off the the small nozzle itself, no more clogged hole while I'm laying polish down and I can seal it back up when I'm done

The optimum products must be shaken for about 1 to 2 minutes. I find it better to shake the bottles up and down, if they polish comes out in a clear like liquid you did not shake it enough. It also helps to place the bottle upside down and tapping the bottle of the bottle a few times before shaking.

Trust me, the condition of the polish in the bottle I have has is not going to be solved with any amount of shaking. It's like cottage cheese. There's no clear liquid in sight.

It looks like cottage cheese because the rest of the chemical is sitting way at the bottom of the bottle. Just turn the bottle upside down give it a good squeeze at the bottom and shake it up and down.

I should have been clearer... it looks like cottage cheese regardless. I've shaken it until my arms hurt. It doesn't change.

I wonder if Optimum knows about this problem? I'm sure if someone let them know about it they'd either fix it or offer a way for us to fix it somehow. I did the easy thing, put it into a new bottle and everything seems fine. I haven't gotten the 'cottage cheese' stage yet and hopefullly won't.

I spoke with optimum this morning and and theres no problems with the polish. He did say that in warmer climates the product does separate and needs to be shaken a bit more. If you are having problems with the polish and you purchased the polish from autogeek please email at jason@autogeek.net

I ordered from AG and all I have to say is I just compounded and polished one of my trucks with OC and OP and they worked great. I was kinda worried after ordering them and seeing all the stuff about them being chunky and taking to long to work etc. This was my 1st time using a PCDA, and found the products easy to work with. Took out deep scratches and swirls no prob. My OP was fine, nice and liquidy, not chunky and clogging up like I kept reading. Neighbor just did his C6 ZO6 with OC and OP, same thing, not chunky or anything. He was actually one of the reason I bought the stuff after he recommened them. This was also in hot, humid South FL lol. We're trying to get one of the other neighbors with a regular C6 to use them now lol.

Did they change formulas, b/c I've spoken to others down here with Optimum products that never had the problems?

Keep in mind here that I never said the polish was "bad" (that was part of my original question). I suspect it works fine (I don't have anything to use it on at the moment). My issue is that I can't get it out of the damn bottle through the spout.
