bad experience with Quik Wax

Just had a bad experience with Meguiars Quik Wax.

The car was waxed two weeks ago with NXT. Washed it today and applied the Quik Wax after drying. No matter how long I let it dry it left a hazy finish on parts of the car. My girlfriend had the same results. I can't pinpoint why we're having this problem, weather maybe? I've used this product in the past with great results.

I figure I'll hit it with a QD in the next few days and wait for my AW to show up :)

I got off work tonight (midnight) to find that my package of Duraglass Aquawax and Duraglass Fast and Clean QD had arrived. Of course I couldn't wait till morning so I hit the hood with the QD and then the AW. The AW takes literally seconds to apply. I have no reason at all to ever use a product like Quik Wax again....apply and wait for it to haze........not anymore!

The AW sprays on easily, whipes around easily, and whipes off easily. No haze, no streaks, no hassle. Can't wait to see it in the morning!

AW's a winner, isn't it :). I use it on every car we've got except for mine, cause it's wearing Souveran and AW seems to cut the depth and wetness but crisp up the reflections.

I had horrible experiences with Meg's Quik Wax many years ago (when I was an avid Meg's addict) and never even used 1/4 of the bottle. There is no comparison between the quality of AW and the Meg's QW.

Im not going to lie. All the hype that was surrounding the AW really made me very cautious about trying it. However, I dont have much time anymore to detail and it seemed like a really good idea so I orderec some. It looks AMAZING on my sliver car. The metal flake pops like crazy. I put on 2 1/2 coats. I will be ordering more very soon. its great stuff.

I agree. AW is a good product but it makes Pin. Sourveran on my red reflective and super shiny. Like above it cuts into the depth and wetness on my dark red.

I don't like to call it hype, but enthusiasm for a product that delivers results. I like to think of hype as surrounding a product that is promised to be or do something, then fails at the praise it was given. I can think of plenty of products that have suffered from this hype in the past. From 99% of the reviews/comments about AW, it seems most everyone shares in the enthusiam that the product is indeed really nice and delivers as promised. I don't think there is a problem at all sharing enthusiasm for any product that genuinely delivers (particularly at a great price point :woohoo: ) its results, but I agree that "hype" for products that aren't all they are cracked up to be is not good.

Just my $.02...
