Backing Plates: LC43-150 vs Meguiars W66

Hi all,



I am looking to buy a BP and both of these BPs are available to me. I am currently using 6.5" LC Curved CCS pads (rated as 7.5" in Autogeek) and purple foamed wool.

Which one is recommended and why? Thanks for your suggestions.
 
I've always followed the rul of thumb when picking backing plates. Always use the same backing plate as the pad choice. If you're using 3M pads get a 3M BP. they are made for each other. so on and so on...

Thanks for the quick reply.

Any idea if the extra sponge of the Solo BP really helps in distributing pressure evenly across the pad?

Also does it make buffing over curves a less dangerous affair since it is able to conform to curves better?

Anyone else want to chime in? :wavey
