Backing Plate, Rotary, Meguiar's?

Have any of you guys had any problem with there Backing plates?



I went to there web site, but it seemed a little rough on details.

Is the Rotary backing plate Model #W64 a "5 inch plate" or what? They specify that it is for 6.5 inch pads, that is all. I want a 5 " plate.

Yes, the W64 is a 5� plate.



Meg’s 6.5� foam pads have loop backing that’s a little bigger than 5� in diameter so you don’t want to use a 6� plate with them. They specify their 6� plate for 8� pads.



Meg’s rotary plates have a centering “button� that fits into their pads (and other makers’ pads with holes). If your pads don’t have the hole in the center you can just unscrew the button and remove it.

Thanks dude, I really appreciate the quick comeback! I was just worried that it wasn't a 5" plate. I intend to use it with 6.5 inch pads (or less) and wool on a Rotary, that is if I can ever get the rotary!!:thx
