Baby Girl's 09' Grabber Orange Mustang

My little girl came home from college last week for the Thanksgiving weekend and left her Mustang behind as I won't allow her to drive it in NY state during the winter months. Paint was already in pretty decent shape as I had washed & clayed it a few months ago when she was home for fall break and used an AIO before sealing it with Blackfire's Wet diamond sealant. So before putting it away in the garage till the snow and salt trucks are finished, I gave it an ONR wash followed by a combo of DoDo's banana armour and orange crush. This is the 1st time I've used the combo on the grabber orange paint but certainly won't be the last.

you were wise to take the car away though not entirely sure why you'd let her drive that car around in ny unless it's out of the city? Lol I live here so I've learned to come to grips because there's no avoiding it for me lol but the A salts are certainly brutal here

She attends a small private college in the middle of nowhere just southwest of the Finger Lake region. Spent here first 2yrs driving in a 300hp Jeep Grand Cherokee without so much as a single speeding ticket and has a yr & a half driving the GT with a clean, accident-free record. It is the lack of traction and salt damage that has it parked for the winter. She is much better off in an older Grand Cherokee till spring.

Oh my qualms weren't with the stigma of female driving but rather the conditions your car would be subject to if she were to be driving in the city..tbh not sure what they use in the greater portions of ny but for me, enough trips on the BQE or belt leaves my car looking like I just drove through a shooting range with buckshot

In all honesty? The DoDo waxes that I've used so far (super natural, skull candy, hard candy, and these two) go on and buff off as easily as anything else I've tried. They also look outstanding over blackfire's wet diamond which is my sealant of choice. However, durability doesn't seem to be their best trait and if that is what you are after, there are better alternatives.

Some of the other waxes I've used include PB's natty blue paste, P21S' 100% Carnauba and Concours Carnauba, Collinite's #476 and #845. I am a bit of a wax ho. :chuckle:

Well my other baby girl is just about 15 and her favorite color is blue, unfortunately she is not nearly as responsible as her older sister was at her age and chances are a GT would not be the best idea. Unfortunately, the V6 ponies are now putting out 305hp.

I am holding out hope that FoMoCo will bring back the grabber orange for the 50th anniversary in 2014 and put it on a Boss 302 tribute model. Hey a guy can dream!
