Well everyone know's how much i love my Baja now i have a TON more respect for her..

she was riding a little up hill but she still had power and wasn't sloppy.

after some mulch tomorrow I'll give her a well desreved bath.

If you don't send that picture to Subaru of North America, you're eliminating half of the usefulness of the event. Congratulations on being the only Baja owner on the planet using the bed for something more than $3K mountain bikes:up

Congratulations on being the only Baja owner on the planet. ;) J/K (BTW, I've only seen one on the road) Was that gravel? How full was the bed? Like you said, it looks like it handled the load pretty well---better than I would have expected. :up

Haha--In Miss-sip, how many Subarus do you have on the road, period? :D

LOL. The Magnolia state isn't exactly Colorado or Maine. Many of the country roads are paved (really!) and we get maybe 2-3" of snow per year. If you never left the Southeast (at least the flatter parts), you might think that Subarus were somewhat rare.

Come on guys she could have teken a little more i think but didn't want to push it but this was a pic of the third trip and I really didn't want to go back for anymore.

Holy crap, dude... The shocks actually took that? What is the weight capacity of the Baja supposed to be anyway? That is insane! I dont' know if you want to send that to SOA or not.... they might sent a notice to your local dealership to void the waranty on your suspension. lol

you would be surprise that I am very bad at guessing how much gravel I need for a job. The first time I went i shoveled and took 500. which was a good amount and didn't lowwer her that much at all. But them i needed a little more and a second project came up... then i needed more and more so at least I stopped shoveling after the first load. Man that guy in the bucket loader was good at his job..

Haha holy crap! I guess 800 lbs. Weren't you worried about a pile of gravel falling out and hitting the tarp, possibly denting or scratching the edge of the tailgate?

Baja's capacity sure surprised me...

A wife of a contractor came in to my work the other day to get a pallet of shingles for a job in their pretty new Baja. (this happens all the time, as most do-it-yourselfers don't understand how much this stuff actually ways). We finally convinced her to start with half the pallet and we could always load more on later. 15 bundles is still a little over 1200 pounds.

I loaded the half-pallet in the back expecting the worst, but the Baja surprised me and took the weight a lot better than some other trucks I've seen (Tacomas, rangers, b3000s, colorados, etc.)
