These Towels Are Great!!!

I received these towels about 3 weeks ago, and decided to try them out. I operate a detail shop...so these towels get a very good workout every day. I used one to dry vehicles...and I must say that it does a great job, and leaves no streaks or water spots. I used it to dry a black vehicle...pulled it out in the sun to inspect the results...and I must say it looked "Great!"

I used another on the towels on the interior & exterior windows.

I used the towel & some Sprayway glass cleaner on the interior windows. I folded the towel in half & then folded it again so that I would have a good hold on the towel. I used one side of the towel to wipe the glass cleaner off & then used the other side to buff the glass dry. I then proceeded to clean the exterior side of the glass the same way. I pulled the vehicle outside to inspect the results in the sun...I have to say that there were no streaks or anything on the glass.

These towels are outstanding for cleaning interior & exterior glass

I would recommend these towels for everyone who wants to have great looking windows that are streak-free.

These towels also make cleaning the windows...Fun? Thats right, I used to hate cleaning windows, but now it doesn't bother me.

I have found that I can clean windows faster than before...and now I don't have to buy paper towels. So these towels will pay for themselves over time.

I Really Love these towels...:xyxthumbs

Glad to hear that. I just got 5 of them with the rest of my stuff from autopia. I will have to hand it to David I got the order very quickly and in great shape David really knows how to package his products. Thanks David.

Me too! I recently got two of these towels and they are very good - both for drying and removing product! :xyxthumbs

Thanks for the great feedback. The towels are holding up very well in my long-term testing. My only critical note is that the towels can snag when caught on trim, like a windshield wiper blade. If this happens, I recommend cutting of the snag.

The really good news is the towels seem to get softer with age. I have one set that have been washed 21 times. They are noticably softer than the new towels and they have not lost their ability to wipe, polish without smearing or streaking the finish. The only wear seems to be a bit of binding/edges on three or four of the dozen test towels.

Another :up for these towels from me. Removes polish and sealant residue as well or better than my poly MF towels, and is much less "grabby". I look forward to trying them out with QD.

My only buyer's remorse? I only picked up two when the 2-for-1 deal was offered, and I should have taken the opportunity to buy more . . .

Good stuff!

Are we confuing two things here? I too got the 2-for-1 deal on the Concours Buffing Towel, and started to post a reply here, warning not to use them for drying. ('Cause that's what David's wonderful detailed instructions had said.) Then I looked back at Autopia Car Care and realized he has the Ultimate Detailing Towels AND the Concours Buffing Towel. For the sake of future readers who look here, let's do our best to keep the info separate.

And no! this truly isn't a slam on Tort or anybody; I keep getting them confused myself. :o

Well, that's why one is the CBT (Concours Buffing Towel) and the other is the UDT (Ultimate Detailing Towel). They are very, very different.

This thread is about the UDT.

UDT:D Got 14 of them...Would trade couple of hundret of my JT Intern. for 10 UDTs:D J/K

Any way I would rate them as # 1 in my arsenal.

Great for QD windows:up :up

D'oh! Synaptic flatulence on my part; I completely misread the title.

I have some UDT's as well, and they also deserve a big :up. They're as absorbent as my waffle-weaves from other vendors, but much softer. As others have said, great for windows, too!

P.S. David, make Lynn quit picking on me! :D
