Autopia "Quick Detailing" Advice

I am just getting on-board with Autopia's system of detailing. I have a new BMW and have a few questions about Autopia's Quick Detailing System.

Am I right that on the exterior, I am supposed to wipe the car down with a very moist microfiber towel? Then do I follow it with a clean mf towel moist with detailing spray (like Sonus')???

When I wipe a dirty car this way am I going to drag sharp contaminants across the paint and scratch it?

If I have a water hose 20 feet away, shouldn't I just rinse the car off, dry it with a MF towel, then wipe with the detailing spray-moistened towel???

YOu could do it that way if you wanted to. But at the same time, you could also use a car duster, then just use a quick detailing spray and just wipe off the residue. Imo, its up to you. Its shorter without using the hose, bc you have to dry every nook and cranny when you wash a car.

The more often you touch your car, the more chance you have for surface marring.

Don't quick detail with more than a very light layer of dust.

if u have a hose 20 ft away, why not be safer than sorry, and just wash the car? but yeah to save time, like zane said, make sure there is only light dust.. i know people who quik detail their car for 2 weeks straight... (without washing inbetween)... not thats just crazy.. considering that car is an everyday driver...

Yeah, you probably will. Some Autopians *do* QD their cars but some of us *never* touch them unless we're giving them a full wash.

Oh, and Welcome to Autopia!
