autopia.org is now "part time"?

Gee, most of the day, the site is not reachable, come evening, I can get on to it.

So, is the company cutting costs by having a web site that is only on line half of the 24 hours?

Eh, I couldn't access it at various points during the day, but whenever I tried back after a few minutes I *did* get on OK.  Not optimal though...

Thanks for letting me know. Will look into it.

There is no "part time". Most likely our hosting provider is having issues and I will work it out with them.

Ben

I've noticed some DNS issues with the site over the past few days. It seems fine now, may have just been a transition thing...

If anyone else experienced future slowness or not being able to reach the site, please let me know the date, time with timezone, your ISP or DNS servers. (If you know what this is.)

Thanks,

Ben

I have been having trouble with Viewing New Content since last Visit, nothing is listed for me. It started last night.

I was able to access the site at 6:30 am central time, but not again until 2:30 pm. I kept getting an error message saying "server could not be found" and had the same problem during the day for the past few days. My ISP is Time Warner.

Had the same problem at home where I have time warner. Their DNS servers must be having an issue.

Our hosting provider has requested to see trace routes from people having slowness. If you feel comfortable doing this, please run a traceroute for autopia.org and send me a pm with the results.

Thanks ahead of time. We appreciate your support!

It still does the same thing, almost none of my browers and tapatalk cant access it. It only works intermittenty with them.  Im using puffin browser to be able to post this

I think we need to switch back out server. I can't get on with my smart phone. Only on my home connection which is through Comcast.

For as many years as Autopia has been around, I hate to say that this is just some growing pains. But, it looks like it's fixed now. I reached out to the people who created/services our forum to get this rectified (fingers crossed). If anyone else experiences problems please let us know by posting it here. I am so sorry for any <span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(40,40,40);">inconvenience this has given.

I'm confused as to why you're using Invision's DNS servers instead of either your own or just Liquidweb's defaults... but hopefully the issues are indeed fixed now.

For sure looks like some DNS issues, last night autopia.org was resolving to 67.215.66.132 and the webserver was giving 404s. Today its working at  50.28.75.148

Ben can confirm, but I'm under the impression that if we had them host that they would handle any problems with the forum. Since moving it we have had quite a few hurdles to cross. I also hope they are fixed and will be keeping an eye on things. If it continues we will have no choice but to move it back.
